this problem have nothing with start up configuration

all the problem that the CD you put in the CD Drive is not working probably and its not burned successfully

if that happened with all CD you try to open, and you are sure that Drive is working fine, just check on Data Cable on the board that its connected fine, and that you use a good type of cables

thanks

There a several reasons why your computer slows when using the CD Rom.I cover the most common reason for computer problem.

First question is when was the last time you cleaned your registry. Having a corrupted registry can cause a whole host of errors and problems, such as slow down and freezing up. If you have a lot of unnecessary registry keys that are hogging up your computer resources. Your computer is bound to choke when using more than one applications..

2. Depending on your RAM specs and your computer usage. This could also be a the issue. Having an insufficient amount of free space does not allow your RAM to function properly. If you are using a lot of RAM by net surfing or other activities without enough empty space your will get slow down. You don't need to buy new RAM but you should increase your free space by removing unnecessary data and perhaps increasing your virtual memory. The below link will show you how.

3. That last area is a hardware drivers. But I don't think this is your problem because your computer allows the CD to function. However check to see if the drivers are still up to date. So try the first two suggestion and see if you can get your Cd from functioning without slow down. Hope this helps.

wait for 10 minutes after you put the disk in. I think it's cause you have low Ram memory, or a slow CD-Rom speed.

Your IDE controllers for the DVD/CD drivers are on PIO mode.
Under Control Panel, look for SYSTEM, then HARDWARE, DEVICE MANAGER, look under ATA controllers, look under all the Primary/secondary controller, Adavanced settings, if you see anything using PIO mode, change it to use UDMA when possible, restart, this should solve your problem
