Homosexuality is a sin. Jesus died for all of our sins. He does not OK them, but He saves us from hell if we accept Him as our Savior. The Word of God is the same for everyone. : )

The New Testament also condemns homosexuality. See Romans 1, I Corinthians 6:9, I Timothy 1:10, and Jude 1:7 as examples.

General consensus? No, doctrine isn't centered by way of vote. Jesus offers us what we'd like or he does not. The Roman Catholics are correct that well works and obedience are nonetheless critical. Many Protestant church buildings faux that they may be able to do anything they wish so long as they have got "authorized" Christ in a functional announcement. But allow's reduce to the chase, lets? If we repent (quit our sins), then we're in a state of grace. If we violate everlasting legislation, we're within the vigour of sin. Most people transfer from side to side for the duration of our lives. Me, I'm incomes widespread flyer miles. We obey the Lord, we're area to his grace and mercy. We violate everlasting regulation, we're beneath the regulation. I can not unlock a bowling ball over my foot and anticipate the bowling ball to get out of my manner. Natural legislation paintings as they do. I can not holiday an everlasting regulation with out likewise fitting area to the punishments which are hooked up with breaking the regulation.

Homosexuality isn't ok becuase the God said in the Bible it was an abomination. He didn't take a rib from Adam and make Steve. He took a rib from Adam and made Eve. God made woman to be with man and man to be with woman not man to be with man. And as far as rules that were laid down, again, some things peole read in the Bible are rules such as love thy neighbor as thyself. Do not make any graven images. And some are customs such as the long hair for men, and circumcision for men. People often times mistake "rules" for customs. For lack of better wording, the "rules" are still the same and are still to be followed. It's the customs that have passed away and people have gotten lax on.

Jesus did come to fulfill the Law, so we are no longer held to those standards. However, homosexuality is not one of the many laws that we don't have to worry about. Paul talks about it in his first letter to the Corinthians 6:9: Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders

Your understanding is lacking. God's word is fixed in Heaven. We no longer have need for sacrifice and rituals for the atonement of sin. Jesus Christ became the ultimate sacrifice because our sin was so great that no amount of animal blood could redeem us from it. Jesus gave us the New Covenant of salvation through Him. As far as sin goes, it is still sin, and separates us from God.

We are not under the law anymore, but under Grace, this applies to All laws. If you are truly saved and still living as a homosexual, you are still saved. God will not turn His back on any believer, He will forsake no one. That being said, I would add this; As a believer, God expects us to obey Him, those who continue to live in habitual sin, will be disciplined by God. This discipline, or loss of blessings, is not just for our earthly existence, it refers to our spiritual eternal existence as well. We all sin and God is equally offended by all sin and all sin keeps us from growing in a relationship with our Savior.
Christ Jesus did not come to save the righteous, He came for sinners like you and me. Gods gift of Grace cannot be lost because of sin. Fellowship with Him and blessings, now and in the future, can be lost.
1 Cor. 3:14-15 says: "If what he has built survives, he will receive his reward. If it is burned up, he will suffer loss; he himself will be saved, but only as one escaping through the flames."
This scripture teaches us that we cannot lose our salvation because of a lack of good works. We can suffer "Loss" because of the things we do, but our souls are eternally secure. The Bible says that homosexuality is an abomination to God. Therefore, a believer who continues in this lifestyle will receive discipline from God. God disciplines all true believers, it is a continual process by where God manifests His Glory in us for our benefit as well as for His Glory.
God Bless You...Peace.

There's four categories of laws in the Bible.
1. Those reflecting God's righteousness. These everybody are required.
God created life, therefore, thou shalt not kill
God appointed dominions, therefore, thou shalt not steal
etc.
2. Laws given to help us avoid physical sickness. Dietary laws and sanitary laws. Keeping these results in better health, but does not affect our relationship with God.
3. Symbolic laws. Laws like don't wear a wool/linen garment. Wool keeps you warm, linen keeps you cool, the moral is to not be lukewarm. Another is to bind the law to your forehead and arm. This is to keep the law at the forefront of all your thoughts and intentions, and everything you put your hand to. etc. (These are not intended to be kept literally).
4. Laws pertaining to the priesthood and the temple. There is no temple or priesthood, so nobody (including Jews) can keep these laws today.
God never changed his mind. The law is just as valid today as it was for the Jews. The only difference is there is no temple or priesthood after the order of Aaron.

Grace allows us to be saved by Jesus, and not be judged by the law. Jesus took our sin. Sin is defined by the law, so the law applies. Jesus didn't replace the law, but fulfilled it.

I don't know who has been teaching you but every word of the Law of God is still in full force. From the 10 Commandments to the dietary laws. We are still required by the Law to keep the annual feasts. Do we obey, normally not, and the Blood of Christ covers those sins. The Blood of Christ also covers those involved in living in sin. Many do this as a regular part of their lives not just homosexuals but those who live together outside the sacrament of marriage. The only sin that won't be forgiven is not either of these but instead the sin of denying the prompting of the Holy Spirit to come to Christ is that sin that won't be forgiven in this life nor in the judgment to come. Any one who isn't in Christ is in danger of being judged by God for their their actions during life. Mine are to many and to terrible for me to take before a Holy God. I needed Jesus to give me the purity of His actions. I will stand before God not in the rags of my own evil deeds but in the robes of Christ's righteousness... Jim
