It would have to be Rick Stein followed by Jamie Oliver and Heston Blumenthal.
Rick wins because his beliefs match mine so closely.Good fresh food using local produce and avoiding over elaboration. Then comes his passion for cooking and his great easy going personality.remember he is not just a fish chef, he toured the British Isles doing all sorts of things such as Corned Beef and Black pudding.
Jamie and Heston also really seem to believe in what they do and like Rick strive for something special.
Delia is a great cook but just cannot charm me ( or Norwich City fans it seems). Mossiman is just too anal and pernickety about his food.Floyd would be too pissed to cook me something special and Gary Rhodes would serve me cold food because he spends too much time poncing about with presentation.

Paula or Emeril. Paula especially because she's a southern cook, and my husband is too. And both of them seem so accesible and easy to talk to during dinner. I'm sure between the two of them cooking, we'd be stuffed and have some great conversation.
