Ok I was on my way to Memphis in May when I got pulled over for doing 18 over in a 70. I wasent doing it, it was the car infront of me...I really need to know how much it is gonna be. Im 16 and my name is no where on the insurance. Its in my moms name. I was in Crittenden County, Arkansas. It said i had to go to court if i dident pay in in Marion, Ar. Can any one tell me how much the ticket will be? This was the first time i ever got pulled over and they gave me a ticket. I was very upset

I have no idea what the ticket will cost, but you may be eligible for traffic school to keep any points off your record. And as for the insurance, you are coverd under your mom, since she owns the car. Hopefully, she is insured.

It would be worth hiring an attorney to fight that one. 18 over is Reckless Driving in many states and if you're only 16 with a restricted license, that can cost you your license for a year or more. That will depend upon your home state; it would have you walking in MO for sure.

A VERY rough rule of thumb is $10 for each MPH over the limit. Add fees and costs to that, which will often double the total -- it will more than double it in OK for example. So, you'd probably be looking at upwards of $360, give or take.

If it was "The car in front of you" he would have pulled them over, not you. Chances are he has you on video tape on the dash cam doing 90. It will say on the ticket how much to pay if you choose to do that, or you can appear and tell them you aren't guilty. They will set a court date for you if you do, and you can tell the judge it was the car in front if you like.
