Do you believe in life after death, if so, why? If not why? Do you believe in mediums / clairvoyancy?

I will say that I've experienced some things that I do not chalk up to "coincidence". I leave it at that.

As for life after death, no. I think that's just wishful thinking, and a byproduct of a human mind that can't conceive of "the end" and naturally fears death (because we do all have a biological survival drive). Near death experiences have been scientifically explained for years now. Not to mention wishful thinking that people are going to get rewards and punishments they didn't get the first time around.

As for mediums and clairvoyance, I think there's a lot of BS surrounding these fields, but I don't necessarily dismiss these notions as purely useless.

Regarding life after death, I don't know what to believe.

Many years ago, when I was a kid, my Dad's father had just died and we were visiting my newly-widowed gran. I'd gone for a wander outside and when walking up the side of the house, I saw my (dead) granddad peep out from behind the curtain of the front window. He ducked back again, quickly. That's all that happened, but I reckon it counts as a supernatural experience.

I have had several experiences and know for a fact that there is life after death as well as many life times the soul experiences. Sounds crazy? I have tested it and have absolute proof. This is not for everyone, so if you write, I will tell you about it. Yes I do believe we can communicate with those who have passed over, Jesus and Archangels. What I experienced was not possible without the possibility of after life or other dimensions. I have also had visions of Angels in my mind, Visions on a TV that was not on and more. I prefer not to just give this info out to skeptics. This is serious information and may be misleading and scoffed at, so I prefer not to let it be taken lightly. Write if you want to know.

I had spiritually supernatural experiences before and after becoming a Christian. I will not glorify satan by telling you what my experiences before I knew Christ were, but some of it involved mediumship and clairvoyancy. It does exist but satan does not give gifts, he gives abilities which he uses solely for the purpose of misleading God's children and blinding them to the truth. God gave me spiritual experiences by His Holy Spirit which far surpassed anything that false spirits can do. Jesus Christ is Lord. He is THE Way, THE Truth and THE Life. Any spirit which does not proclaim this is unholy and not of God.

I do not know "how many," don't know the exact number, but I've noticed that most of the people with "supernatural experiences" miss some front teeth and live in trailer parks. Why is that?

Mary, you are not crazy, you are just not smart, but you are not alone - anybody, who believes in God and "healing power of prayer" is stupid. (see Mary's answer below)
I know I'll get a lot of angry remarks, but it's OK, God already forgave me. Will any of you challenge God?

And Rev. Tom (another answer below) knows "for a fact." For a FACT! And what is the fact? Oh, it's what Rev. Tom says. If he says so, it's a fact. Not enough for you, non-believers?

A smart person (see "alchisto" answer) gets thumbs down, and somebody who saw and image of a Virgin Mary in a cookie they were eating, gets thumbs up. Tells me a lot about the level of intelligence here. A good example is "lix" (another revelation below.) LIX, you became a Cristian, but you're still on drugs, right?

Me.
I've had a supernatural experience.
Yup, believe life after death, by way of salvation through Jesus Christ. The Bible speaks volumes about it.
Yes, I believe in mediums and clairvoyants.
They draw on the powers of darkness to draw people into their dark schemes.

I think its a fascinating possibility that I surely cannot explain- for instance, Ms. Dubois, who the show "medium" is based off of, she apparently did a lot of work with scientists, and they weren't able to conclude that she is NOT what she claims.
As far as being a Wiccan, we do tend to believe that human will and energy is a powerful thing, capable of leaving imprints on the physical world but I specifically do NOT believe that ghosts exist or that any whole spirit can be left on a "spiritual plane." Thanks for the question, I am curious as to the other answers. : )

Yes I believe in mediums/psychics/clairvoyants and I suspect there is some existence after death but haven't died yet to verify any of my theories.

I don't believe in miracles, spirits, demons, angels, clairovoyance, magic, witches, heaven, hell, or God. I don't believe in virgin births, resurrections, limb regenration, or faith healers. I don't believe that john Edwards speaks to the dead or that Jeanne Dixon can see the future. I don't believe that our futures or pasts are written into stars or within the cards of a shuffled deck. I don't believe in reincarnation or demon possession.

I believe that when we die, our personalities die with us. If this is wrong, then what happens to us after we die is the same thing that happens to everything from elephants to antelopes to crickets to that houseplant we keep on our windowsills.

I believe that everything that has ever happened and everything that will happen has a natural explanation. Although I may not have that explanation, I believe one is there.

Seigfried and Roy can make huge tigers appear and disappear from thin air. Although I don't know how they do it, I think it is safe to say that they don't have real magical powers.

We are responsible for our own actions, and the consequences of those actions will cause us reward or suffering on earth. There is no God.
