I don't think giving a thumbs down is unchristian-like at all. We are to speak up for Christ and for His word. I've given several thumbs down's my own self. One thing about it, this Q/A section sure keeps me in prayer an awful lot!

No, I don't,but I personally just use a thumbs down only rarely...if someone is being an obvious jerk or is way off key
And I don't report for the record,either....this function should only be used in extreme circumstances,in my opinion.
There is a belief among many of the Atheist crowd, that Christians are report happy and I want to break that notion.
I certainly do not think that someone deserves a thumbs down for ANY HONEST opinion.....I have recieved thumbs down for absolutely perfectly honest, well thought out and non-threatning answers...which left me scratching my head..
Further,I believe that we often are dealing with a very immature crowd...both religious and non-religious....Though I am a Very strong Christian....I must admit, that many of the Atheistist folks are often not only mature but intelligent and respectful of others..Betty,ShoNUFF,Acid Z,Meatbot,Heretic,Bad Squirrel,The Dude, IWF,Zerocool etc...there are others also...I look forward to their questions.

Oooo, you seem a wee bit defensive. Why do you care what others think if you give a thumbs down, unless you were unsure of yourself when you did it. It is Christian to speak the truth in love. If you are doing that, let it go.
Did Jesus hesitate to say what he thought was wrong because he was afraid of popular opinion?

Hey - it's a free country. Thumbs down to your heart's delight.
I know I will when I see overly preachy Christian answers, so it's only fair.
(In fact, I bet I'll get a ton of thumbs down on this answer.)

I think it is very Christian like.
There is no reason Christians should have to put up with demons spewing their foul crap out at everyone.
There are just certain people who want to control others and are perhaps lost in their own self righteousness.

No, that is evidenced by non-chirstian answers often having many thumbs-down
