find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

First that is a very healthy goal Your looking at losing on average 1.5-2 lbs a week. Weight lost at this rate generally stays off as long as you maintain a healthy regiment.
Healthy Eating:
5-6 small healthy meals a day. Natural foods, whole grains, lean meats, lots of vegetables.
Lots of water.
Try not to eat too late at night.
Never starve yourself you'll store fat.
Forgive yourself if you fall off the wagon and have a slice of pizza. Enjoy a slice or 2 and say I deserve this then get back to the healthy eating.
Exercise:
Walking 30 60 minutes a day.
Join a gym and build muscle. You don't have to become a body builder just a regular routine 3-4 times a week. There are lots of good books with simple muscle building routines.

Hope this answer helps.
Take care,
Lee

The BMI isn't a a hundred% precise attempt. Say in case you do resistance coaching you will be able to earnings bodyweight by skill of doing it whether it relatively is going to be high quality weight. do no longer merely circulate off what the scales say take your measurements from the waist and the hips and in case you may attempt and do a physique opposition attempt, additionally use the reflect to verify in the experience that your physique shape is changing. you pick to be dropping fat and inches so CV coaching is great for dropping fat yet in addition resistance coaching will help in the direction of a extra useful shape. there is a diet pill out called NV, it is a VERY good pill, good for you and really does help you lose weight. You can find it at any GNC. It is good for your hair, nails, and skin also. Try running/jogging for about 10 minutes each day and also do about 30 crunches and 10 push ups, also eat less and a little more healthy then normal and you will be guaranteed to lose the amount of weight u want over the summer. :)

NO PILLS, NO CALCULATORS, NO DIETS, NO EASY WAY OUT. Exercise and eat less, then work on the types of food you eat little by little. Thats all there is to it. If you feel you are predisposed to being overweight it doesn't matter. In most cases there is some form of exercise you can do, and you CAN control what you eat. You just have to do it. Just do something, walk, jog, clap your hands together! What ever it is just get to doing it.

Stop eating junk, get off your butt and exercise. Go running, ride a bike, lift weights, do anything to burn those calories. Stay away from fast food, even at home. No Hot Pockets, or microwave burritos, healthy food like fresh fruits and vegetables. Water is your friend, no soda or beer. Good Luck!

high intensity interval training (HIIT) is great for burning fat.
heres a good link, http://www.askmen.com/sports/bodybuilding_100/135_fitness_tip.html

just remember, be sure to warm up good before hand, and dont over do it. if you overwork yourself, you could end up with an injury that could keep you from any kind of cardio exercise for weeks.

as for gaining muscle, cant help you much there since ive never really been interested in packing on massive amounts of muscle, but im sure someone else will provide you with good info on it. if not, you could also just look up something simple on google, such as "gaining muscle".

If your only goal is to look good, you have the wrong incentive, you will get bored and you will give up. Your goal should be that if you are over weight it is unhealthy
