With love come terriorial boundaries. If you don't protect them..No one will. If the one you love is being wooed by another..it's bound to make you upset. If you merely want to have them as a possession, then that is your mistake...Being insecure is one of two things...A. How you truly feel about yourself for your looks, emotions, or the past you've overcome...Or B. Someone's excuse to keep you on the hook as they play with your emotions and search for the one they want. Best wishes.

I use to think jealousy, envy and greed were personality traits and was smug in my satisfaction that I was not susceptible to any. However, I'm now a little older, a little wiser and a lot less smug :-)

I have to go with the general consensus on this one. Jealousy comes out of insecurity and lack of trust. I've once felt jealous and it was BLOODY AWFUL! It took me a good three months to realize it came out of insecurity and lack of trust. States of mind and being that were encouraged if not downright engineered by my then boyfriend.

He use to tell me about the problems of jealousy he had with some of his ex girlfriends and I didn't think anything of it till I'd call him at his home and his ex would answer. To cut a long story short he cheated emotionally long before he cheated sexually and both were devastating.

Both! If you feel jealousy, odds are, you are in love! You are protective of your mate and don't want to share him with anyone else.

If this "rage" begins to affect your actions, or make you not trust him, then you are being insecure. If what you have is real, then trust your love will last.

If he is going to cheat, he will. You have no control over that. However, your jealous actions could push him away and create a "self-fulfilling prophecy".

Jealousy comes from insecurity. However, insecurity can come from two places. One the guy can do things to make you feel insecure to play mind games because of their own insecurities. Or, the insecurity comes from you from either a past experience in your life, or something from your upbringing. (You'll have to read the relationship to see where it comes from.)

That's insecurity, the signs of a control freak, not the signs of someone who's deeply in love with you. It's okay to be just a little jealous but not extremely jealous

I suspect insecurity. Jealousy arises when you feel your relationship is under threat. It also makes people behave like exactly the opposite of the kind of person their partner wants to have. If you are jealous then you will have to ask why you are insecure.

That is insecurity. Rage is not a part of love.
There is a famous quote I have heard that says " Immature love desires the other person to be happy only when around them, and mature love desires the other to be happy always. and forever no matter where they are, or whom they are with."

Jealousy comes from insecurity - the fear that your beloved will find 'someone better'.
True love includes trusting the other person and not trying to control or manipulate them.

That sounds like insecurities and love.If you don't get a handle on it you are heading for trouble.Try to disassociate yourself for awhile and take a look at what is making you so insecure and then deal with that.You will drive away your partner if you don't;

a little bit of both actually. jealousy is OK, but a fit of rage isn't necessarily a good thing either. all depends on what type of rage you're talking about.
