“For His pleasure.” Revelation 4:11 says, “Thou hast created all things, and for Thy pleasure they are and were created.” Colossians 1:16 reiterates the point: “All things were created by Him and for Him.”
Being made in the image and likeness of God (Genesis 1:27), human beings have the ability to know God—and therefore love Him, worship Him, serve Him, and fellowship with Him. God did not create human beings because He needed them. As God, He needs nothing. In all eternity past, He felt no loneliness, so He was not looking for a “friend.” He loves us, but this is not the same as needing us. If we had never existed, God would still be God—the Unchanging One (Malachi 3:6).
The I AM THAT I AM (Exodus 3:14) was never dissatisfied with His own eternal existence. When He made the universe, He did what pleased Him, and since God is perfect, His action was perfect. “It was very good” (Genesis 1:31).

We are made in the image of God means that we know right from wrong.
God does not need anything the way we need. He is inside and outside of time and He is not limited like we are.
Jesus was here as a human, He needed lungs. But God does not need lungs.
No, God does not have to breath, eat,use His mouth, but He can if He wants to. Jesus breathed, ate and used His mouth because He was fully human while here.
He does not need hands...but Jesus had hands while here i a human form. God does what He pleases.

So if you look at the word Image in the dictionary the root word would be Imagine. So man was made in the imagination of God. So as Jesus was before the world was created, and we accept him as being God incarnate, then we in our imagination accept God as looking like man because Jesus said , When you see me, you see the Father. Is it not possible that God can be in any form he wishes. God is all things. Without God there is nothing. Jesus could have come as an Archangel if he wished, then we would all think God is and Archangel. So it is acceptable to me that God is represented to me as a human as looking Human if I were to see God because I could except him easier perhaps.
It is true that God did create us in his Imagination. Thank God for that!

God is Spirit-- Not flesh, with fleshly limitations.
"God is a Spirit, and those worshiping him must worship with spirit and truth." --John 4:24
Any references to body parts or functions are merely symbolic, & ways to help us to relate to what is being said about God.
We have never been spirit, so it is the only way we can intelligently understand about him.
As well as being omnipotent & omnicient, many teach that he is also omniprestent--However, this is not the way he is presented in his own Word...

"...look down from your holy dwelling, the heavens,..." --Deuteronomy 26:15
"...listen from the heavens, your established dwelling place ..." "..hear from the heavens, your established place of dwelling.." --2 Chroncles 6:33,39
God made man so that he is able to reflect his qualities, and also able to enjoy learning, loving, & living -- including personal relationships with others, even himself...
God wished to create Beauty, & to share his Happiness, and that goal has not changed. God purposed that humans live forever on a paradise earth, which plan is nearing completion. But --as Doctors often warn patients-- things will get worse, before they can get better...

--WHAT IMAGE of an animal does man resemble when he high jumps?(standing or running)
--WHAT IMAGE OF a lizard does man relflect when he uses a bow whip?
--WHAT IMAGE OF shell fish does man reflect when he uses air pressure tank to breath underwater?
---TO BE IN SOMETHING or SOMEONES image can be a relative matter!
--OR DO YOU ALWAYS believe in absolutes---when it is for your convience?
*** w05 7/1 pp. 4-5 “Happy Are Those Conscious of Their Spiritual Need” ***
****Made in God’s Image
--The Bible explains the reason for the spiritual side of man’s nature, saying: “God proceeded to create the man in his image, in God’s image he created him; male and female he created them.” (Genesis 1:27) Our being formed “in God’s image” means that even though we have been tarnished by sin and imperfection, we have the ability to mirror certain qualities of God. (Romans 5:12) For example, we can be creative. We also have a measure of wisdom, a sense of justice, and the ability to show self-sacrificing love for one another. Furthermore, we can reflect on the past and plan for the future.—Proverbs 4:7; Ecclesiastes 3:1, 11; Micah 6:8; John 13:34; 1 John 4:8.
--Our spiritual capacity is most clearly demonstrated in our innate desire to worship God. Unless we properly satisfy the need to be in touch with our Creator, we cannot find true and lasting happiness. “Happy are those conscious of their spiritual need,” Jesus said. (Matthew 5:3) We must be careful, however, to satisfy that need with spiritual truth—facts about God, his standards, and his purpose for mankind. Where can we find spiritual truth? In the Bible."
--IS THIS TOO HARD for your gray cells to contemplate?
--WHY IS IT so easy for you and others to try and flim flam God?

Because God was made in Chuck Norris' image, so God thought he might make the rest of Chuck's species in Chucks image.
We are actually made in Chucks image by God, but they accidently left out the Chuck Norris part.
That's why the Bible is wrong. God is not perfect, he gets temper tantrums and everything. Only the word of Chuck is perfect.

God's Image...
He is referring to his Qualities, not his looks. If you'll notice, the Bible never wastes time with how people Looked. Just if they were righteous or unrighteous. We love, think, we have imagination, freedom of choice etc. No other animals can do this because they weren't made in God's "image"

it sets man apart from the animal world, fits him for the “dominion” God intended, and enables him to commune with his maker.
having the image/likeness of God means, in the simplest terms, that we were made to resemble God. adam did not resemble God in the sense of God’s having flesh and blood. scripture says that “God is a spirit” and therefore exists without a body. however, adam’s body did mirror the life of God, insofar as it was created in perfect health and was not subject to death. (before the fall)

Why would he need eyes? And, God can do anything he wants. God cannot be destroyed. Therefore, God can't destroy himself, meaning that he can't do anything he wants. The logic that god exists at all is flawed.
And Jesus is bisexual, according to Christians, because he loves everyone.
