Asking for people to pray with you or for you can be construed as "chatting and personal communications" and therefore in violation of Community Guidelines. If you truly think you didn't deserve the violations, you can can try leaving a message on the Yahoo! Answers Violation Notice Message Board and within a day or two, a Yahoo employee will review your post and respond:

These violations are becoming ridiculous, there are dozens here daily that are totally offensive and many are pornographic and they seem to get through without any problem, I cannot believe that anyone would report you for using this word, surely no one could be so sensitive as this.
If this keeps up we will end up with a very limited vocabulary and it`s goodbye to Q&A`s

While I think the violations can be silly, I do feel that proselytizing attempts posing as questions should be a legitimate grounds for a violation.
(Ironically, somebody reported me for a comment I made as an answer criticizing when Christians posted evangelism posing as questions. I obviously contested it, since my answer was a valid one for the question being asked. Somebody had asked what we felt about time-wasters in R+S.)
I'm a little more open-minded about prayer requests. I think they are passable as a question, provided they're not the "Please pray for all the evil heathens, who are not nearly as perfect as we are" variety.

If this retains up we can finally end up with an quite constrained vocabulary and it`s so long to Q&A`s

I got a violation for advising someone to understand the bible.
I wouldn't have minded so much, but i did actually say it in a nice way.
I just wonder if all these people that pray for me get violated
as its against my beliefs..mmm...mm....

I got a violation for a comment I made about a pineapple... it didn't even involve a funny punchline.
And it was in response to the banana argument, so yes, it did apply.

I thought it was just prayer request yahoo was outlawing now--how can you have a religion and spirituality section and not allow anybody to pray is beyond me--anyway, I reccomend having backup accounts set up, because sooner or later they'll suspend your account, I speak from experience

"Spiritual warfare" as one soul told me today is what caused me to get one as well. I got it for answering a question of someone who was asking about someone he obviously hated and never wanted the truth from the get-go about the answer as when I told him the truth, he screamed "blue murder!" It must be a machine that accepts those complaints. Does it mean we can get anyone deleted that we don't agree with??? I wonder!!!
EDIT
Then, they give you the option to object to it, you do! and they never reply for nothing!!! What's the use???
I wonder!!!
I tried to get my account back for days now but they won't answer that either... I was up to the fifth level and now back to zero. I didn't totally give up on them yet but I did open an account with another server (supplier, browser, whatever you call them) and will begin to check it out real soon as it promises to be quite efficient and much more open minded!

Dont know, was busy last night. Sometimes people are very intolerant and just report for nothing. I got two last week and I still cant tell you what was the offensive part. People who report are crybabies, should leave if they cant handle it.
