Ok...my mom is traveling from Grand Rapids, Michigan to Sacramento, California this tuesday, May 9. She's very confused about what time to have her mother in law pick her up from the airport. Ok...the airplane is leaving Grand Rapids, MI at 7:51pm MI time. Arrive in Minnesota 8:14pm. Leave Minnesota at 9:15pm to arrive in Sacramento at 11:05pm. These are the exact times shown on the airplane tickets. Will she arrive in Sacramento on Michigan time or is that California time? California is four hours behind Michigan. So if she arrives at 11:05pm on Michigan time then is would be 7:05pm in Sacramento, right? So she would tell her ride to be there at 7:05pm California time, right?

Usually the time on her boarding pass is the time she will arrive in that time zone.
She'll arrive in Sacramento in California time.

I'm including a time zone web site.

The times printed on the airline ticket are all local times. If it says the plane arrives at 11:05pm, she will need a ride at about 11:30pm, to give her time to get any checked luggage she may have.

The time on the tickets are the time it is when you are on the ground.

So Sacramento would be 11:05pm.

It will also state the time zone on your ticket/itinerary.

You're confused alright. Tuesday is May 8th, not 9th. If the ticket says she'll arrive in Sacramento at 11:05, it means PDT ! California time !
