And they claim themselves to be a true christian? I mean I hardly see a pentecostal white racist, but the baptist ...whew my goodness..........do they even think they are followers of Christ?

Beverly, I can hardly call a racist "christian" a follower of God.

This is generalization, stereotyping and offensive. It is comments like this that adds to the divisions among Christians and why others speculate to the truth of God.
They wonder how God's followers can treat one another this way.

I meant that the stereotyping and the offensiveness of the question make it easy for people to misunderstand Christianity.

Interesting point. The Pentecostals are nutty but basically sweet. The Baptists I HAVE KNOWN (and this is excluding my parents) are some of the meanest bastards on the face of the Earth and they DO NOT like blacks and they like MIXING of the races even less.

I have encountered bigots and xenophobes equally among baptists and pentecostals and baptist pentecostals and pentecostal baptists.

So, did you do a study to come up with your conclusion?

I have never met a single racist Baptist. I attend a Baptist church, and we have a mixed congregation. They are every bit as welcome as anyone else. As a matter of fact, several of them are in leadership positions, even though they're the minority.

Im a baptist and i am not racists. maybe in the south they might be alittle more racists, but my grandparents are southern baptists from Mississippi and they are racists either. i think you might be jumping to conclusions.

Not in my country. It seems that America in general is more racist than where I live.

I see alot of christians who give "biblical proofs" against "racial mixing", and from what I can tell, it's a stretch even with the bad translation...
