depends on how much u wanna lose....anywayz wen i lost 70 pounds i did 1and a 1/2 hr brisk walkin and did half hour weight training to keep muscles tight and 1/2 an hour combination of yoga and aerobics and all this 5 days a week, and the remaining two days i would swim for an hour

You don't say how old you are, what your weight is, or if you want to lose weight. So, I'll just wing it.
To lose weight, you should do aerobic exercise for 30" , 6 x a week. Walk 3 miles, or bike, dance, cycle, run or swim.
To build muscle, you should do weight lifting 6 x a week, as well; alternating muscle groups on different days [ mon/thurs - arms and chest, tues/fri - abs; wed/sat - legs. Do 3 sets each of 10 reps.
To just get in shape, aerobics 3 x a week and weights 3 x a week.
