What I mean is, if the female approached him and showed that she was interested in him. (I am interested in this man who is in his mid 30's and I am 20...I don't know if he would consider my age as something negative).

I can only tell you from my own experience...and as a guy, it is flattering and very nice, if you do it right...and it can lead to very strong relationship. From his side, he may be afraid to approach you for many reasons, but you have opened the door for him, and if he sees it, and takes it, he will feel very strongly for you.... besides, if you don't try, you will never know.. go for it..

i dont think that he would have a problem with your age,but your family and friends may. it is very difficult to have a relationship with someone who may be considered to be too old for u, but as far as a female approaching a male I wish more would do it because some guys like myself are a little unsure if someone maybe interested.

I think just as long as you are calm and casual about it, you should have no problems getting him to go out on a date with you or something.
.Oh...and I have to say...older men do enjoy the company of younger females, and not always for bad reasons. You are an adult, so I do not see why he would have any doubts or reasons to not want to date you.

It all depends on the person. He might be flattered but does not want to get involved with someone that young, atleast not seriously.
Some men might go for it enthusiastically because you are young and beautiful and that is exciting for them.
So I say give it a shot, try to be subtle in case he turns you down so you don't feel too embarassed. Don't wait on it though because you wouldn't want to waste your time growing feelings for him or get mislead by signs that you think are there but really aren't and end up getting hurt.
