Several books in the Old Testament contain various teachings about what people should eat, wear, do, do not do, etc.

Some, like the 10 commandments, are totally relevant today. But what about scriptures that say that you should not eat certain animals, or that your clothes should all be made of the same material? Are things like that at all relevant to you?

This is an issue with some people and one that should not cause such argument, a lot of the laws in the Old Testament were put in place for the Hebrew nation and totally specific to the early growth of that peoples, it is not hard to se which would apply to a Christian today, as you pointed out the 10 commandments are binding for all time and to everyone, but local rules such as not eating certain animals are not binding on Christians today.
We only have to be sensible about these things and use the wisdom that God has given us.

easily, Luke became elementary to be the 1st gospel written. dissimilar the e book we've in the hot testomony have been being circulated at that ingredient. there have been different communities that exceeded around ridiculous cloth, elementary even at that ingredient to be loopy. (Yeah, i be conscious of, the history Channel acts like all of us had a duplicate of the gospel of Mary, Phillip, and Thomas. those have been outlandish and theory-approximately heretical from the beginning up. You actual won't be able to make a case for this. The question ought to be the validity of the books chosen., not the interpretation of the cloth. considering they have been nearer to unique meaning of the interpretation simply by timeframe, they could have been fantastically precise. do not combat with a Christian over his history. Many Christians have in-intensity know-how of the area. we're not drones like the liberal media needs you to think of. i be conscious of, you have seen the fewer sensible answering the hardship-loose questions incorrect, yet maximum are in contrast to that.

The Ten Commandments are completely relevant in today's society. Where do you think we got the secular laws? Some of those things are relevant; others are not.

2 Timothy 3: 16-17 shows "All scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness, that the man of God may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work."

Though we are no longer under the Mosaic Law, the principles they showed still apply. then too, Jesus and the apostles frequently quoted from those books people call the old testament.

All the Bible is valuable for us in daily life.
