She gave birth to the Blessed Virgin Mary. That is what she's most famous for. She was childless and aging, and prayed to God for relief for her barrenness. Because of her piety, she was delivered from that condition, and conceived Mary.
Anne, the wife of Joachim and the mother of Mary, is the earthly grandmother of Jesus Christ. Her name, depending upon what source you look at, means "grace" or "the gracious one" or "the loving one."

She gave birth to Mary..........sorry, that is all i can remember............oh ya and at different places like St. Anne de bopre(obviously spelled wrong) in Canada, they have a bone of hers blessed by the pope. There are other churches that have her bones also. People go to those churches and pray for miracles and many of them come true. Try to find more information on that. Sorry that is all that I can remember.

There is no one named Anne listed in the Bible.
