If you are positive you are past the collecting SOL for your state, you should send a SOL letter.
It works far better than simply telling them, by phone or in writing, to cease contacting you.
It tells them the account has passed the legal collecting SOL and is no longer collectible and to stop any and all attempts to collect.
If the account is a utility account or repo, you are past SOL.
If it is a credit cart, it is an open account and you are probably past SOL.
If it is a written account, you may be past SOL or you may still be within it.
Click on my profile then click on the link to find your states SOL.
Then, if you are past the collecting SOL, go to the bottom of that page (the state SOL page) and click on the home page. Scroll down to the special purpose letters and read the SOL Letter template.
You can also find your states statutes to use with the SOL letter in the listing of states on the bottom part of the home page.
If you have any questions in how to use the letter, you might go to the last link listed in my profile and do some reading, ask questions, in the credit forum.
Since it is 10 years old, it would be illegal for them to re-age the account and place it on your credit reports.

Lord i think your soreness! My cellular telephone style became placed on the employer card of a dentist in Tijuana!!!! i'm getting approximately 500 calls consistent with month inquiring for an Archurro Gonzales! you won't be able to truly do something yet tell those people who they have the incorrect style. you will be able to desire to swap your telephone style in case you had to... no count if it is invoice creditors finding for somebody else, whilst they ask for the guy, ask to communicate to a supervisor so which you will enable them to be conscious of to take your telephone style off simply by fact the touch style.

Change your phone number, or get a second line and leave the old line off the hook, ANOTHER THING YOU COULD DO IS PUT THEM ON YOUR PHONE COMPANY'S BLOCK LIST, SO THEY WILL BLOCK THAT NUMBER FROM CALLING YOU, AND IT IS USUALLY FREE!
