It's for a mother's day present.
I'm not interested in a 3-ring binder in which I print out the recipes and put them in page protectors; my printer rarely works.

Some sort of nice, thick journal type thing might be nice, if I can't find an actual blank recipe book.

Anyway, all suggestions welcome!
Thanks ahead of time.

Go to a books a million or barnes and noble and buy a very colorful journal. Put in your favorite recipes and if it's for your mom, find old photos of the two of you together making your favorite foods and put them in as well as a little story or memory that will make your mom tear. It's a great way to let your mom know that all the things you made together meant so much to you.

How about a nice photo album? My personal cookbook is the 3 ring type and has pockets for dividers. But the pages are the kind with the saran wrap like stuff where you could write out your recipes on nice paper and just put them in like a photo. And there's room for her to print out something if she can. I got mine from a kitchen shop. But I'm sure Hallmark or Wal-Mart or Target has some kind of mini photo album for writing out recipe cards and insert them into the sleeve.

Good luck!

I find the nicest ones at Half Price Books. If you don't have one, you can still get a lot of nice ones at the bookstores. Borders and Barnes & Noble typically have huge selections. Some Target stores have some nice ones.

I don't know where you're from, but if you know of a "Winners" outlet store nearby they usually have some pretty reasonably priced attractively bound books with lined paper in them...Good luck!
