Let the sin, begin!

"If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us" (1 John 1:8). I think this verse goes for every day of my life, that is, I don't ever dare to think I have had such a good day that I can say I have not sinned that day.

While we do not have a Bible verse that specifically states we commit a sinful act each day, we do have verses that remind us that we have inherited the capacity to sin at any moment. "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned" (Romans 5:12). "Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me" (Psalms 51:5). or, "Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me" (Psalms 51:5).

We are a product of sin (Adam and Eve), yet God still loves us as much now as when he first created us. Christians sin a lot, because we are still human and have not been transformed to glory. The only difference is Christians are sinners saved through the mercy of a loving God. Not perfect, but saved, and forever dependent on God. As a Christian your intent is to not sin, but it does happen, and God does forgive. That where the grace comes in. Everyone makes mistakes, its what you do from there that counts.

it's impossible not to sin because tempation is everywhere and sometimes we sin without knowing it. but then again.. what is your definition of a sin? is it the 10 commanment? some people don't even believe in sinning so they don't think they have sinned.

You are born into a sinful world. This is a sinful place since Eden. God gave us Jesus Christ as the Gateway To Redemption. If it were possible for man not to sin, we wouldn't need Jesus.

It's impossible not to sin in ANY world. Adam and Eve had a perfect world, and they sinned. How can we do any better? The only person who ever lived a sinless life is Jesus. That's why we need him as Savior.

It's impossible not to sin as long as we're in this carnal body. One day the Christians will have new, spiritual bodies and will be sinless.

This answers directly to your question:

Romans 7:14-21 "14 For we know that the Law is spiritual; but I am fleshly, sold under sin. 15 For what I am working out I do not know. For what I wish, this I do not practice; but what I hate is what I do. 16 However, if what I do not wish is what I do, I agree that the Law is fine. 17 But now the one working it out is no longer I, but sin that resides in me. 18 For I know that in me, that is, in my flesh, there dwells nothing good; for ability to wish is present with me, but ability to work out what is fine is not [present]. 19 For the good that I wish I do not do, but the bad that I do not wish is what I practice. 20 If, now, what I do not wish is what I do, the one working it out is no longer I, but the sin dwelling in me."
