When I was 14 there was a guy I really wanted to date and he was 17. Mom said no. She also said that during my teens, three years was to large an age difference. I wasn't happy about it at all.

Now as I'm much, much older, I realize that she was right. When you're in your mid- 20's and older, it more than likely won't make that much difference, but now it will.

Don't rush things. You have the rest of your life to meet and date all kinds of special guys.

Yes. IF you were each 5 years older, that would be different, but so much happens between 14 and 18 that the two are on very different emotional levels. The girl has a good shot at getting hurt.

It depends on the maturity and expectations of the girl and the guy. In my opinion, yes three years is too much when the girl is 14. Guys change alot from 14 to 17 and they expect alot more sexual activity. If you feel you are ready for that or if he doesn't pressure you than i'd say go for it, just be careful.

Technically no, but at 14 yes. If you were 17 and he was 20 that would be different.

This is the perfect age difference as girls mature younger than guys. At 17, a guy is the same level of maturity as a 14 year old girl so this is an ideal relationship.

No i dont think the age difference is too much because there is only 3 years and nowadays girls mature at an earlier age. Good Luck

Hon, cute name! Well from a young person"s eyes,no. But from a guy old enough to be your daddy, yes ! Please don"t rush it. Just enjoy being young. There is plenty of time for relationships later. Learn all you can now in school cause you will find your education wll get you the things in life that you desire !

That's not much of a age difference but can the guy be arrested for statutory rape. Make sure that your parents are ok with this and check the laws in your state
