Wow xmensbeasts, just because most folks want to toss us to the lions, you don't need to run to the front of the line and start yelling "Pick me! Pick me!" ;-)
You could have put some references in there. Persecution.com or persecution.org are two good ones. Your statement would have looked more like you wanted to start a discussion instead of pick a fight.
In lots of countries if you admit to being a Christian, people want to kill you. And while we sure don't treat folks from other belief systems too well at times here in the west, it's just not the same as being a Christ follower in China, or North Korea, or Pakistan, or Eritrea, or Sri Lanka, etc.
Plus I don't think most people realize how many Christians spend time on missions, both long and short term. Many don't make it back. And it's not in the news. Heck, those three Turkish missionaries just a couple weeks ago for example. My church had a missionary to Africa get killed.

HAA, Christianity? Nice one... Islam is being persecuted so much, look at all the question asking if Islam is a religion of peace or hate. They've watched so many extremists they think that's what Islam is all about.

Oh, that's bull. Islam has been under much more persecution lately. And Christians are the ones orchestrating it! So don't even go there.
By the way, I am, for the most part, a Christian. (I have a some disagreements with the bible, and some pagan beliefs.) So don't go saying I'm biased because that is NOT true.
