my hair is the SAME way. i just bought the leave in conditioner, detangler, shampoo, and curl keeper from frizzoff.com. i just used it on my hair today. it's not frizzy at all. the only thing is you have to let your hair air dry and my hair takes about 2 hours to air dry unless i go outside. then it'll dry in about 1 hour and a half. yeah, get rid of the gel and mousse. i wash my hair once a week or 1 every 8 or 9 days. this stuff i use on my hair when i wear it down. when i wear it up i use curl souffle and milkshake from curls.biz.

- Read the book and visit the sites below about curly hair. I did and my once horrible curly hair is now virtually frizz-free ringlets. Now I get compliments on my hair all the time! Straighten your hair- be happy for a day, learn to manage your curly hair- be happy for life!
- To style your hair using the curly-girl method you will need gel, a leave in cream, and conditioner at the minimum. Some less useful, but still nice stuff would be a blowdryer, a diffuser (reduces frizz in curly/wavy hair when used with dryer), and a microfiber hair turban (to dry wet hair while sleeping or in the morning).
-The main philosophy of the curly-girl method is to not use shampoo. This may sound unhygenic but it has actually made my hair less oily and dandruffy. Most shampoos contain some of the same chemicals found in laundry detergent (sodium laureth sulfate, sodum lauryl sulfate, ammonium laureth sulfate, ammonium lauryl sulfate, etc.). They dry out curly hair. Also you shouldn't brush your curly hair dry because it damages the hair and makes it poof.
- Massaging of the scalp with conditioner to remove dirt is all that is needed. It will clean everything but super clingy silicones (cyclopentasiloxane and dimethicone are examples). Then rinse and spread conditioner on the outside layer of hair and the hair at the nape of your neck. Gently comb tangles out with your fingers or a wide toothed comb and rinse with cold/cool water.
- Do not brush/comb your hair after this point because it wil disturb the curl pattern (make sure you already have a part). It is also important to use gel on sopping wet hair and scrunch the hair with your fingers. Make sure gel is evenly distributed everywhere in your hair. If you use too much you can always scrunch out the crunchy texture later.
- Use paper towels or an old t-shirt to gently scrunch some of the water out (generic towels can make hair frizz). You can either let your hair air dry or wait ten minutes and then use a blowdryer with a diffuser. Dry until your hair is almost dry, and then let air dry the last bit. Do not touch the hair while it is air drying or it will frizz!
- Use a moisturizing conditioner, such as Desert Essence Organics Italian Red Grape Conditioner (found at health food/organic stores) or Activate Hydrating Conditioner (drugstore). The combo of products that I use daily is L'Oreal Out of Bed Weightless Texturizer (comes in a black-colored tub) and then Herbal Essences Totally Twisted Gel or Body Envy Gel, but there are more conditioners, gels, etc. on the websites. The products I recommended are my personal favorites and contain no silicones or drying alcohols.
- Your hair may seem worse at first, but it is just adjusting. This may take a couple weeks to begin working. Before you decide to quit shampoo, do a final cleanse with shampoo and stop the use of any products with silicones in them. Hope this helps!

I have super curly hair and im proud of it. My hair is always the talk of my friends and they envy me because my hair is easily straightened, wavy and is curly naturaly! My friends hair is always super straight and some of my friends arent able to curl their hair 'cause its sooo straight! Im a swimmer so I wash my hair everyday. It can get annoying but I find my hair looks better is I do. According to my hair dresser, the ends of my hair are very dry because I swim almost every day so I go there to get treatments to give back the noutrishing vitamins that my hair needs to look good.
Talk 2 your hairdresser 'bout that kind of treatment if your hair is dry.
I love my hair but I also wish it was straight sometimes, i guess it is just a way of life, you want wat u dont have.

a stable moisturizer and conditioner (alcohol loose) is best to keeping your hair against chop up ends. besides as utilising a warmth protector once you employ any form of warmth on your hair. the suitable thank you to evade cut up ends up on your hair is to wrap your hair at nighttime. try to be wrapping your hair in a silk or satin headscarf. This prevents the shortcoming of moisture on your hair while you sleep, that could carry approximately dry and brittle ends and encourage cut up ends. additionally you need to use a super the enamel comb with rounded recommendations and a broom with employer yet versatile rounded. i be conscious of from own journey. I easily have an identical form of hair. with any luck this hurts.

i am of mixed race, black and hispanic. and i have the same problem with my hair.
i find that Pantene hair products work. the ones that are in the brown bottle, it says "for women of color".
try the Oil Sheen spray and the Creme Moisturizer, it "tames" my hair. it should work for you too.
