I'm a 13 year old girl, and I'm about 5'6'' to 5'7''. I weigh around 120 pounds. I'm a size 1 or 3, but I feel fat, all the time. After I eat I feel like a whale. When I dont eat, I dont feel very fat. But its just every time I do. Am I fat? I'm not extremely muscular, but I'm fairly strong. I play basketball and tennis. Tell me honestly, am I fat? I always watch what I eat and make sure I eat healthily, and I try to work out on a regular basis.
Please tell me, am I fat? Or average? What?!
My ribs always show, but I have a tummy, and I think a lot of fat on my body.

i have the same problem too
im 15. 5'7" and weigh 125 and the doctors tell me im under weight.you are not fat.

Unless your friends are starving children in Africa, there is no way they weigh 50 pounds. You're not fat, you're actually very underweight. At your height, you should weigh about 120 pounds.

that is not fat at all, but if your worried about becoming fat just keep active. after school activities are great!

I have heck of a tummy too, i think its only natural. its a body part, were suppose to have it.. just because models starve themselves so it doesnt appear doesnt mean that is the norm. I would be happy with your 120 pounds at 5'7 .. your fairly tall. and thats not much weight at all. seems very healthy.

You know in your heart you are not fat but your head has a screwed up mental picture of yourself sometimes, or at least it is getting that way. You need to nip this in the bud or you could become completely anorexic and body dysmorphic and then it will be very very hard to get your body image back to reality. You are not fat at all. If you can't accept that or if you stop eating because of the way it makes you feel, you need to get help immediately. Anorexia is painful and debilitating and can be fatal.

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

actually your underweight, your ideal weight is roughly 10 to 15 pounds heavier, if you maintain your current frame and gain a few inches and gained as much as even 25 or 30 pounds over the next few years not only will you be just fine then your doing great now, im sure there will be guys begging for your digits in the next few years, if they aren't already

WOW, i don't think i have ever been a size 1. talk to someone-society sets very unrealistic goals for weight and you sound thin but i an 5'11" and 197. Healthy eating versus size is the issue. be careful- good luck

You are NOT even close to being fat. Infact, you are a little underweight by about 5 to 10 lbs.

sounds like you just need to tone up a little, or maybe you have a complex that is really putting into your mind you are fat! just relax hun, your still growing. You dont want to do anything to your body that will damage it internaly because you will pay for it later in your young adult years

If anything you are a little small (weight wise) for your height. I am 5ft 3 and my best weight is 120-130.
