How can I make it easier for her to walk? Is there a home remedy to give puppies in leu of pain killers? Can you give a puppy a piece of a tylenol tablet?
What should I do?!

Thanks!

Tylenol is toxic to dogs.

Check her skin for cuts or bites. If she has a bite, she needs medical attention; it could be from a poisonous spider or snake. If it's a cut and doesn't need stitches, keeping an antibiotic on it to help it heal is important.

Has she been hit by a car? If she's overweight (or not, just landing wrong) and jumped from a high surface such as a deck or couch, she could have sprained, dislocated or broken it. If there is ANY question, take her to a vet.

Otherwise, she needs to rest it, so leave her be and give her a few days. If the swelling isn't going down in 2 days, take her in. There may be an underlying cause that you can't see.

No, do not ever give a dog tylenol. It is not safe. Aspirin is sometimes safe for dogs, but you have to make sure you give the correct dosage based on her weight. Also, aspirin will cause A LOT of stomach upset, and she will feel really sick,so you need to just take her to the vet instead. Her arm is swollen due to some kind of trauma, I think, and could be broken or have a soft-tissue injury so you need to get her treated for it.

If you need help with a pet, who you gonna call?! Ghostbusters! I mean the vets, sorry.

Seriously, don't start giving your dog random medication, you could be harming her. For starters, you need to know what is causing the swelling and limp! No point giving her something to mask the pain if the cause of the problem isn't going to go away.

Please take the dog to a vets. If painkillers are all she needs, they will give you the CORRECT drug with the CORRECT dosage instructions. I beg you not to self-medicate your dog, for her own sake. You could really bugger up her liver.

You can give the pup an Ecotrin once a day as it's coated.

BUT

Do you know what has caused the swelling?

You need to take her to the vet as soon as possible... like tomorrow!
