When you outfit say the 3.73 or 4.10 gears on a stock mustang gt, does that change the top speed of the car?

I know they make the gear ratio better for acceleration, but wouldn't that lower the top speed of the car?

Yes but how often do you use the top speed versus the faster acceleration....everything is a tradeoff.......Paul

4.10's less top speed ,more cash needed for tires you'll burn them off.
