If you are going to mix with other dry things to sprinkle mix them together in a processor . If you are just doing brown sugar you can do the same thing. Be careful not to process to much. If heat builds up it can gum the sugar. Otherwise it will give use fine sugar.

Dump it out of the measuring cup and loosen it up. Then use a spoon or your fingers to sprinkle.

. measure brown sugar as usual ,empty into lg
tea strainer and use back of a spoon to push sugar out evenly. hope this helps ,sheri

you loosen the sugar after you pack it, the recipe only asks for it to be packed to give an accurate measure of how much brown sugar is needed for the recipe...
