Being someone who wants to end illegal immigration nothing hurts my cause more than a group of racists. Before you get a chance to have an engaged discussion here comes mister little KKK to start spewing racist insults and ideas into the mix. You are bringing the cause down.

Yes I admit there are racists on both sides of the debate but I am only talking about those who are in favor of getting rid of illegals.

You are right. But, I think that there are some people of all groups that can be extreme - illegal aliens, Americans, Mexicans... unfortunately every group has a handful that make the rest look bad.
Edit: Yes, it does make trying to have respectful, logical debate and trying to explain why laws are important an even tougher fight. You are so very correct.

There will always be racists on one side of an issue or another. The best that we can do is just be strong and stand our ground. I know I'm not racist against any group of people, but I am against illegal immigration. Just because it happens to be majority Hispanic doesn't mean that I hate Hispanic people. I have Hispanic friends and coworkers and look at them no differently then I do my black and white friends and coworkers.
If we lived in England we'd be racist against what ever majority was the illegal population there. It's a no win argument for some of them. They will just see it as it is. And the racists do make it hard for those of us who are just want people to respect our laws.

Racists are on here every day. For some reason they feel the need to spread their bullsh!t not just on here, they are on other sites like this one. It's odd as I can't imagine anyone being converted to their cause by reading their bile.
Maybe this type of forum provides a release for their venom, a bit like a pressure release valve.
People who support the British National Party in the UK are very quick off the mark whenever a comment is made about them.
I wonder what came first, the anger or the racism.

You will always get extremist on both sides of an issue so vitale as illegal immigration. It is very clear illegal immigration isnt a matter of race even if you are against mexicans which I would hope no one would be , its not a matter of race but rather a matter of nationality as mexican is not a race but a nationality. When both sides understand illegal immigration key word illegal is a matter of law not of nationality or race then we can work to end this problem and secure our borders and that can only help Americans of every nationality, of every ethnic background and yes of every race.

Yahoo get comments both for and against - seems you are referring to the ones that convince you that they are being one way. Possibly because those racist make a stronger point then the opposite view racists.

I agree with you , but acknowledging them only tells them that someone is listening to them and seems to care. I have seen a great deal of racists here. They tend to go away after a few weeks.

True. Fighting illegal immigration does NOT mean we shouldn't embrace legal immigrants to fulfill the American mantra of being All for One and One for All....I have so many multi-national friends who also wish to see people documented so terrorists don't slip through the cracks...

If we could get rid of the racists/nationalists on both sides we would be able to better discuss our viewpoints.

I say ignore the racists. They are mentally challenged, emotionally troubled, powerless, frustrated individuals who need so badly to hurt someone's feelings online so they can feel big. They always post things they would never dare say in person. That is the definition of loser. No need to make them more important than they are.
