I have a 4 year old male chihuahua. I have several friends and family who want a puppy just like my little guy. I have also been thinking about getting a 'playmate' for him. I have found someone who has puppies (male and female) that I am going to look at today. I have thought about mating the two once the little girl puppy is old enough (I know, 2 yrs old) since I know several families that will want one, not for the money. My boy is very sweet and beautiful, he isn't a pure breed, he is mixed with a little something. But everyone is saying that because of the breed the little girl could have troubles with her pregnancy. If so, what is best, a male or female. I had always wanted to mate my little guy so I could have one of his puppies too. Just advise, please no mean comments. Thanks.

regrettably, there is not any such ingredient as a "teacup chihuahua." Chihuahuas do are available each form or sizes and hues,confident.. yet they are of the TOY family contributors. A teacup chihuahua is in basic terms the offspring of a small chihuahua.. top-rated the breeder to have self assurance that those chihuahuas would be small. besides the undeniable fact that, because of genes handed for the duration of chihuahuas, 2 very small chihuahuas would produce greater offspring. A "teacup chihuahua" is extremely in straight forward terms a customary chihuahua that breeders have given a ritzy call to, awaiting people to pay extra for a puppy which would be smaller than the nicely known. Even then, your puppy would become as much as six or 8 pounds. everybody who's merchandising you those doggies as "teacup chihuahuas" is already proving their lack of expertise via labeling a canine with a fictional breed. exhibiting their lack of expertise, the breeder has additionally poorly bred those chihuahuas.. top-rated to many wellness complications, and in all probability undesirable features, alongside with yappy or quite mean canine. As you have the comparable threat of having a small canine the two way, i could propose you examine into the chihuahuas costing $one hundred fifty. those people of course have extra experience.. and look a lot extra to blame.

Keep in mind, that just because your dog 'fathers' a litter, there's no guarantee that any of the puppies will be like him, in personality/looks.

Chihuahua puppies are born with large heads, frequently necessitating cesarean deliveries by a skilled veterinarian.

Please make sure you have the proper financial requirements, if you plan on breeding Chihuahuas, even once. Cesarean deliveries can be QUITE pricey, and a first time pregnancy can have plenty of complications. Worst of it being, that the female & puppies could die.

what is best, a male or female you ask? well you are not going to have much luck breading them if you get another male, sorry to say. I think your best bet would be to go with getting a female, that would equate to the best chances of pregnancy.
