Is the language of Jesus (Aramaic) officially a dead language now ?

Almost dead. There are very few people (around 2000) that speak it in a village in Syria called Maaloula.

the dialect that Jesus spoke died out centuries ago.

As for the language itself, no it is still spoken by Assyrian Christians.

No. There are a lot of ppl that still speak Ara mic. The Arabs speak Aramic...& the world is full of Arabs.
