Ok here is the deal...im 18 and am a senior in hs. this girl is a freshmen and goes to the same school. this h.s. is kinda small and 400 people in all and mostly everyone knows everyone. so its not a big deal for a senior to hang out with a freshmen because people know me and know im not like that. now me and this girl are good friends and shes cool to hang out with but like 2 months ago she told me she liked me and ever since weve been hangin out more and her parents have no problem with it what so ever. now is it illegal in illinois for me to kiss this girl??? now i have NO intentions of doing nothing else because that is illegal and im not about to do that. so dont get any bad ideas the only thing that could happen is a kiss and that is it. so is it illegal for a 18 yr old guy to kiss a 14 yr old girl in illinois??

The kiss in it's self is not. If in public and someone thinks you are headed too far and complains then you sure can be in a lot of trouble. As a male you have very little chance if a complaint is about you messing around with a young girl.
No I am not saying you will or have I am saying that the legal system in the USA is so biased that you could end up in jail for just a kiss.
In your house or hers with other people around might be just fine.

Not it is not illegal. Read below for what IS illegal.
The law in Illinois for Criminal Sexual abuse, section C states, "The accused commits criminal sexual abuse if he or she commits an act of sexual penetration or sexual conduct with the victim who was at least 13 years of age but under 17 years of age and the accused was less than 5 years older than the victim."
Sexual conduct is defined by the ILCS as "any intentional or knowing touching or fondling by the victim or the accused, either directly or through clothing, of the sex organs, anus, or breast of the victim or the accused, or any part of the body of a child under 13 years of age, for the purpose of sexual gratification or arousal of the victim or the accused."
I should also add that photographing her sex organs, anus, or breasts, would also be illegal, and it would also be illegal to compel her to remove her clothes to expose the same.

I dont think it is illegal to kiss, but in most states when "statutory rape" is involved or "consensual sex with a minor" you can be with a girl 2 years younger than you which would mean she would have to be 16 if your 18 =)

I think it shouldn't. I know where you come from. I live in a small county where everyone knows everyone. i just am glad i moved here. I see a lot of seniors going out with freshmen. I am in the 10th grade and i am going out with a senior. nobody cared really. my parents love him to. its really great.

you can be any age to kiss someone else and go further as long as you have their permission the only thing you cant do and is illegal is have sex with someone under the age of 16

No, It is not illegal to kiss this girl ,as long as your intentions aren't of sex. I person of 18 years or older is not allowwed to have sex with a minor, or it's considered rape. Kissing her is allowed.
