I always see people eating it or cooking it. I don't think I could stomach it.

Try some breaded and fried calamari rings. The texture is probably not something you would expect, it's very chewy, but the flavor is very mild, not "fishy" at all. I have had them at a few restaurants and most overcook it to the point that you may as well have ordered an order of fried rubberbands.

It tastes like... squid! Sorry, but there's nothing to really compare it to, you'll just have to try it and see if you like it. Unfortunately there's a lot of bad squid out there (that's why some say it tastes like rubber, they've just had a bad experience). I'd recommend coming to Europe and tasting it well cooked and complimented by good wine :)

its actually really good if cooked correctly..you should try it...squid taste like squid to me..there isn't really anything to compare it too..try some calamari at a really good seafood restaurant or an Italian restaurant

It's yummy. Try some calamari at an Italian restaraunt. It's very good.
