Yes it is a possibility...5 months is still sorta young but most male dogs are able around 6-10 months so there is a strong possibility. But it's also a good possibility that he is not producing semen yet too and is just doing the actions. If you don't plan on breeding then I would take this as a sign to get him neutered, he is old enough for that and male dogs can start marking their territory around the yard and inside your house if not fixed. Alls you can do is wait and see if the female has pups in 62 days.

In theory yes, but PLEASE don't do this just to do it. Chihuahua's are difficuly to breed. Even experienced breeders lose pups and mothers frequently. The mothers are subject to death during delivery as well as many serious complications afterward like eclampsia due to their small size and inability of their little bodies to take the changes they suffer throughout pregnancy and nursing. This is most definitely NOT something I recommend for a casual breeder. If you want another puppy please go adopt one somewhere. I can't stress this enough..especially if your female is tiny. The female is at risk for suffering the rest of her life from some of these complications. It is NOT worth it.
If no matter what I say you decide to try this, make sure you find a vet who specializes in small breeds and you stay in constant contact through the pregnancy. You will need to do an ultrasound and xrays to see how many puppies she will have and you may very well need to rush her in when she starts to deliver due to puppies getting stuck. Talk to your vet extensively and make sure he thinks this dog is able to breed. Please don't put her or the puppies at risk for nothing more than a whim.
Best of luck..

okay first off how much do they weigh ? and what are you breeding for ? are you breeding to make a dollar or are you breeding to improve the breed ? also do they have papers ? If not then why breed and add to the pet overpopulation? I dont understand why ppl are breeding for no reason other than to make money .

Anydog can mate. Whether it's right is the question you should be asking!

It doesn't matter what age, as long as they are both ready to mate.
