yes, the are very respectable loudspeakers. Speakers from the uk have a very neutral sound which is awesome becuase its easy to live with and they are super accurate i highly recomend them. i would also suggest KEF they have a similar sound just better.

Hi. Wharfedale are one of the U.K.'s oldest manufacturers of Hi Fi loudspeakers and are a very respectful company. The only HC 6 i can find is made by Acoustic Research.
Do you mean the Diamond 9 HCP home theater system.
Most British speakers have a fairly neutral sound which means they do not favour any part of the frequency range they produce. But you should always listen before you buy to see if you like the sound.I have a pair of English speakers i bought in 1984 and i still have them cause i haven't heard anything better yet.
Cheers.

Wharfs are OK speakers. Build quality is good, sound is decent I had a pair for a few months, but then went to Paradigm. ( much better) Give them both a listen and see for yourself. Everyone has a different sonic choice. Some like more pronounced bass (Def tech. speakers), so you need to hear them in order to make the best purchase for your ears.

Hope this helps

Whafedale is a great English speaker line.. I did not get a chance to listen to them before I bought my Bowers and Wilkins. I love the Diamond 9 Series, got to hear them in Toronto Canada this weekend..

wharfdale is a very good speaker company. I would suggest going to a store and taking your own music or movie because you know how what you like should sound. Ask them to play it and take a listen. Everyone hears differant so you may actually not like them.

Most British speaker companies do a good job...But you should trust your OWN ears when buying speakers...Click here to see what I mean: http://www.avtruths.com/shopping.html
