so, originally it was all "no evolution! God is the only way we came here!"

Now rational thinking is getting to hard not t see andadmit so they changed it to "intelligent design/evolution"

So heres my question, was adding god into evolution just a way to "beat around the bush" and take credit for evolution and find a way for their god to get credit for it? since, after all, evolution cannot be denied any further.

seriously ppl...

creationism and theism is ridiculous. But if people want to believe it, then that is their right (although i pity them)

Creationism is the belief that humanity, life, the Earth, and the universe were created in their entirety by a supernatural deity or deities (typically God), whose existence is presupposed. Biblical creationism is the belief in literal interpretations of Genesis. The term strict creationism is sometimes used to avoid confusion with the more general concept of creation held by those whose faith accommodates theistic evolution.[ Creation in this context refers to the specific supernatural act of creation.

Theism is the belief in the existence of one or more gods or deities.

There is also a narrower sense in which theism refers to the belief that one or more gods are immanent in the world, yet transcend it, along with the idea that God/(s) are omniscient, omnipotent and omnipresent.

Evolution cannot be denied by those with sense, but it will be by those who are religious and intolerant.

Yes Intelligent design isn't really a scientific alternative, it's creationism presenting ad hoc demands for empirical proof of 'natural selection', rigorous proof that God should or should not have the credit from people who could care much less what we should call the thing that impels biological mutation, the interesting bit is figuring out how and what that thing does exactly.

If you ask me do I think a scientifically viable and alternative, creationism supporting, theory of life origins would be accepted by the scientific community, I would have to say, even in spite of all the animosity present between the two parties, Yes. It would be. If Intelligent Design was really anything more than pushing labels around on the already existing construct of evolution, it would have been recognised long ago.

Creationists have tried to be heard in the debates by using all the tools of science, but they keep being beat over the head because they assert the very first cause of all living things on earth is God. ID is another way of trying to use science tools and thought to communicate that flaws in evolution.

You probably didn't know that scientists as a group hold about twenty different views of evolution. Evolutionists keep a united front before the public, but in their journals they debate and argue with each other -- see a sample below written by an avowed evolutionist. If evolution is proven to be fact, why the controversy among evolutionists in their journals?

Darwinism demands slow, regular change from one kind to another, yet the fossil record, such as the "Cambrian Explosion" violates Darwin completely. New theories have emerged which inadequately address the fossil record. But the scientists keep trying to find enough evidence to show that evolution has occurred.

You can examine the plain facts of the fossil record and say that God created all created things as they are, without transitions between species, and the fossil record will not contradict you!

I'm not a christian, or even a theist. But here we go: Assuming ID is 100% correct then the proof that the Designer is the Christian God is...... All languages having a cross looking symbol in their symbology be it religious or linguistic...I know it is small, and seemingly insignificant...but then again so is humanity when compared to the universe Jack > that is pure drek. Just because you don't like reality and truth doesn't mean you can call it lies. There is empirical evidence behind science...and nothing behind you. God hates people who spit upon it's gifts of intelligence, logic and reason. Kenny p> Actually no. There are LOTS of myths and religions that tie in the virgin birth, died for 3 days (such as Odin who hung from world tree for 3 days), etc etc. So Christianity is about Jesus..but not really unique in any way

i don't think there was an evolution...why would God make beings evolve...?He did everithing within 7 days...so how could we say it took milions of year to evolve from this to this..

so God existing..it means there wasn't evolution...if some Christians accepted there was an evolution..among animals...it is there bussiness..they don't represent me...i think iguana shall never fly...so ..there was no evolution at all..there have been animals made by God..with that properties..and abilities..and they..are gone today...What do you think ..Pegasus was an evolution?No..those ancient times..nobody could imagine a horse..evolving to a horse with wings..the horse -This Pegasus was already having wings...and actually i believe Pegaus and mermaids and Afhrodita...Apolon..were idols that could have been made under the aparitions.. of some devils..who tried to led the people into the temptation that Yahve ..is not either God..or not the only God..actually..all the idols from the anciant times..must have an explanation...either they dreamed of beings fearcefull like this..either they saw..demons pretending they are gods..and feared them...some gods..are ugly...as i saw in books or movies...ancient statues...i think to Christians..it is not so dificult to know ehere these idols come from..these gods..as long as in the Bible old.test..they say about idols..and demons...but i am curious..how could they obey to a cow..and believe it represents God...didn't they see that people are far more beautiful then the cow..and that God ought to be the most beautifull...?So must look more beautiful then a man..?and this theory of intelligent design is not that new..it is an old apologetic theory of theology..that the perfection of forms..shows that God exists...

What type of evolution are you pointing to here? now a pea evolving into a banana would be something, an ape evolving into an intelligent human being would be even more astounding, God created all living things and while it is true that adaption happens when creatures have a need to survive this is not the same concept as the Atheist evolution theory that is held up as God, you cannot have it all your own way as you people would like to.
A Raptor supposedly evolved into a bird which is an entirely new species, yet where are the fossils to prove this, were are the millions of intermediate fossils that show the changes?
and this is only one species we are talking about, if more than this happened the earth would literally be covered with such fossils, so where are they?
No you will not convince Christians while you continue to spout this communist backed theory of anti-God rubbish.

HUh??? There is no proof of evolution and it is a constantly changing theory that changes when the suppositions are proved false. Most supporters of evolution on these boards have obviously never read any of Darwins' writing and are just bowing to the altar of secular scientific theory.

Intelligent design is a scientific theory with even more evidence of veracity than evolution. It is just another way to look at the science of creation. It would be better that one would just have an open mind to scientific discovery and consider all the possibilities.

For those secularists that follow evolution, I know that it is frustrating to believe in something and it is constantly failing scientific scrutiny and having to change to keep the theory plausible. The evidence shows that evolution is no more science that astrology and alchemy.

I ,for one, have felt that Christianity and Evolution exist neatly side by side. A creatures ability to evolve is a God-given tool for survival.
Christians don't have problems with creatures evolving, per ce, they have problems when you say man evolved from ape.
But evolution theorist don't really say that.
Basically there is a failure to communicate between evolutionist and Christians. But if Christians had an ear, would they listen?

well it all depends what you belive in your faith symstem is there a god or isnt there one ? . its a pretty simple debate . if you belive in god then he created everything in the universe. and if you dont belive in god then we came from protine that combined with ammino acids some 65 million years ago that just happened once (on with the switch and then back off with the light switch) in a random event . herse a thought if eveloution did happen where is the half man and monkey at wouldnt it still be happening if evolution did take place . there is things that happen that cant be explain either way and at the end of the day all you have is your faith in something so you can make since of it and make it through the day with out going insaine. for some people thats all they got is their faith in what ever kind of god they belive in .

I accept evolution but I think Intelligent Design is a seriously misguided concept. Would explain further but it’s time to get ready for church.

Hope you all have a wonderful day.
