If there is a God, then God is depended upon the good nature of men. Nothing in this dimension or physical plan can happen unless there is a willing person (Soul) to do the work. So the reason for the misery is because men allow it to be by doing nothing.

My oh My. What a can of worms we have here.
It's a personal thing, you have to go with whatever you feel works for you.
Your point is a very valid one, but remember even in the days of the bible and before, there were crimes of all degrees and God did nothing to stop them then... not going to start now!
We can assume that either God does not wish to become involved in our earthly affairs, or else that He/She does not exist.
I do think it is interesting that all reasoning seems to go out the window when it comes to religion, people will go to war over it, die for it, and believe in something for which there is absolutely no proof. Not many other theories with that level of control in the modern world.
If you are a good, kind and honest person, then you cannot go far wrong.

it is unlikely. But do not fear, many will say that there is, even if they have no real proof, yet, they may even spout proverbs and verses from the bible at you!! Sadly they have forgotten what the reality of any bible and religion is, and that was to create a moral and ethical code for living a good and Honorable life. AND if we all lived by that code, then there would be NO WARS, NO FAMINE, NO POVERTY, NO GREED, NO HATRED, NO TORTURE, NO CRUELTY. yet, in the name of a god that no-one has seen the religious fanatics continue to do the very thing that should not be done!

In the beginning of this creation – God created everything from nothing! 'God that made the world and all things therein' (Acts 17:24). He spoke and there it was. 'By the word of the Lord were the heavens made' (Ps. 33:6) in a mere six days.
Genesis 1:1-3 "And God saw the light, that it was good:"
That’s a hard point to miss in the creation account. After each day God says it was good. It was perfect without any flaw or sin. It was perfectly in harmony with God. God made the world to demonstrate his own glory. The world is a looking glass, in which we may see the power and goodness of God shine forth. 'The heavens declare the glory of God' (Ps. 19:1).
Why is there death, why is there wars? Sin.
God created man, male and female, after his own image, in knowledge, righteousness, and holiness, with dominion over the creatures. Now when God created man he placed him into a garden, and this garden was called Eden. In Chapter 2:16-17 God gave instructions that man could eat of all the trees save one; the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. This is called the Covenant of Works. In this covenant of works Adam represented himself Eve and all that would come from him. He was the root of all mankind. If he kept in perfection the covenant he would be blessed to all eternity, if he breaks the covenant then death. Now it is important to note that Adam had the power to keep this covenant. Adam was not like us he was sinless and walked perfectly before God. Adam had the law of God perfectly written on his heart. Adam was created holy, and righteous, but he was also mutable or changeable!
Mankind’s relationship with God was severed when man chose to follow the devil instead of his creator. When we fell, we lost communion with God and came under his wrath and curse. A plague of sin followed man in this world and with that death and decay.
“All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way” (Isaiah 53:6)

possibly.. but not the sort of god that likes to hang out with BA christians or died in the wool moslems. God is not for loooooosers like you. I imagine having paid my dues, that heaven is like my exclusive and expensive club. ie has a strict dress code and requires evidence of success through income or prestige in the field of arts sciences or politics b4 any may enter its portals!

I really wish there was a god of love, I really do!
But my experience of church has showed me that church is merely a thing of this world, with all its misery, cruelty, abuse (if I may borrow your words).
Disillusion is a tragedy because it leaves no hope (churches, I condemn you) until you can form an alternative philosophy.
If there is a god, it does not speak through churches.
Maybe it's easier to say "There is NO god".

Yes there is and I’m sure it grieves God greatly to see all the hurt we bring to each other.
The world can only change if we choose to change it.
It matters how we choose to live our lives each and every day. We can either choose to add to the misery of this cold, lonely world or not.
We can choose to live a life of love, compassion and understanding or one of intolerance, indifference and condemnation. God is not going to force us into anything. This is our choice to make.

There better be a God!
If not, all that's left is human effort .....thats not too encouraging, since misery is there mostly because of man.
A better question might be "Why does God tolerate misery?"

Yes there is a god, When Pontius Pilate said to Jesus, to call on his army's to help him. Jesus said my Kingdom is not of this world. This world belongs to the Devil and his followers. When we die we go to the spirit world and that is where Jesus and his followers are. In that world there is no war no pain just happiness, God Bless.

Do you believe a loving God wouldn't allow pain and suffering? Do you believe your parents exist? Have they ever punished you for something wrong you've done? Have they ever given you a hard time because they know you can do better?
That's my God. My God won't let me grow up a lazy spoiled brat. He'll whip me into shape, whether I know what's good for me or not. That's how he weeds out the sheep from the goats, and the wolves from the herd.
