I have pain in the heel of both feet when I walk. Looking on here, most investigation says heel pain is bone spurs. But with Bone spurs, the pain is to stop when you walk. My pain hurts worse when I put any pressure on my heels at all. It has come & gone for a few months but after being on my feet for long periods of time, the pain is a lot worse. Any idea what this is?

I believe your problem is plantar fasciitis. Foot pain from plantar fasciitis and heel spurs can keep you off your feet. Treatment usually is based on rest and controlling inflammation.

Plantar fasciitis patients swear that rolling a golf ball under their foot helps massage it and stretch out the fascia, reducing pain.

Apply ice to the area several times a day. If this does not improve you need to see a Podiatrist to get the correct treatment.

Most likely it is bone spurs. I have them too. Mine don't bother me as much since I lost almost 90 pounds, but when I was working 14-16 hour days and I was heavy I could barely walk the pain was so bad. I still have slight pain once in a while, but not bad enough for me to suffer through the surgery to correct it.

hi KARA!
im sorry to say it probably is heel spurs. (you should see a doctor.) it is very treatable. the give you a cortozone shot, which is given on the side of the heel. it makes the pain go away within a day. im on my feet all the time and it worked for me! doctors are going to try to give you a insert for your shoe, which might help you. the most important thig is to stretch your foot in some excersizes ask you doctor! good luck! let me know how things go! try freezing a water bottle and roll it under your foot!

Could be heel spurs, but may very well be plantar fascitis. The symptoms you describe sound more like plantar fascitis. The two are often hard to differentiate, but the treatment for each is very different. I would recommend you see an orthopedic doctor to get a proper diagnosis and get the appropriate treatment.

It sounds like you may have a stone bruise. It comes from walking or jumping alot with no shoes on. If that is the case rest is the only way to get rid of along with soaking them in epsom salts..I hope I was helpful.
