Good morning, Debra.
I hope to clear off the last of Fall's debris from my front yard, clean up the deck roof that collapsed last winter, repair the gate at the end of my driveway (also damaged during winter), and do a laundry.
As for spiritual jewels, well, that depends upon whether anyone loves me today.
Being alone and believing in Love is a lot like having a can of gas but no car. :-(
As I don't believe Love is going to be dropping any cars in my lap, I suspect today will be another spiritually painful day where I cultivate patience. An arduous task that I've spent far too many years toiling over.
But as I said to Chicky the other day, you never know what will happen next. A blackhole may suck up the planet and solve all my problems for me.

I'm getting ready to go to Mass. After that, I'll go visit some friends, and stop by the library. Then I'll come home and relax, because it's my day off. I find spiritual joy in all these things...the Holy Eucharist, visiting good friends, catching up on some reading, and just generally having a pleasant day. I don't even mind that it's drizzling outside. That's beautiful in its own way, too.

I will be going to Mass in about 90 minutes.
After that, I have some things in the yard to take care of, will fix lunch for my son then call my mother (like I do every Sunday).
If the weather holds out, I will be breaking out the grill and cook up some ribs, Texas style (you know what I am talking about there).
When all of that is over, I have some work that I need to finish up before tomorrow, I will also finish up the web site for a search and rescue group I volunteer for.

I will spend some time telling my husband what a sweet and wonderful man he is. He is teaching me how to pray and it has been a bit of a challenge for both of us but I remain strong and keep learning. After our next prayer, I want to go to the beach and enjoy some solitude with him.

The most mundane activity is filled with spiritual gems, if you are looking for them. Who knows what insight might be lurking in the cereal aisle of the grocery store?

Into my heart's treasury,
I slipped a coin
That time cannot take
Nor a thief purloin----
Oh, better than the minting
Of a gold-crowned king
Is the safe-kept memory
Of a lovely thing.
