Only if someone dies.

Grudgingly even then.

I went to catholic school. At the time they made us go to church for an hour everyday but Saturday.

After 8 years of that I hated church with a passion.

When I was healthier and went to a Church building outside of My Senior Apt. Building I would got at least 3 times a week. ( Out Pastor did not expect more money out of us either!) More if We had something extra going on. Now I am very disabled and I cannot get out to the Church because I am in a Power chair and I have Oxygen. So I attend and teach Sunday School here in the Building. We have Bible study once a week.We used to have Sunday morning Church after Sunday School but the Pastor died so for right now twice a week right here in the building. So even though I can't get out of the building any more we have Church without having to leave the comforts of home.

I call 'em " drive by " churches and I go several times a day. I drive by, read the quotes on their message boards out front, then go on to the next one. I get more out of church in this fashion than I do if I go inside, sit down, and listen to a sermon that's temendously boring and about a half hour too long.

I go birding instead. I am an atheist, so no point in it. I do go for funerals, weddings etc. I also visit churches if I am traveling and they are historically or architecturally significant. When we travelled to Paris in February we went to Sacre Couer, Sainte Chapelle and Notre Dame, of course. I can appreciate their beauty.

I attend Mass at least twice a week but I prefer to go daily at least when I can. I also attend Adoration at my Church weekly when able. Prayer suffices between, during, before and after. |

I never go unless it is for a wedding. I am a Christian and live my life accordingly, so I don't feel the need for a Church.
