How can you just surrender yourself to some god or if not that superstition?
Doesn't it depress you that whatever good you experience depends on whether some flaky god decides it wants to help you?

No but Ive been in your shoes and said
the same thing.
Im no better than anybody here.
God really lives, he does things thats beyond all reasoning of any human mind.
And if one day you feel total emptiness,
just down right depressed, at your whits end,
right on the bottom, give jesus a try.
Surrender to him and see the great deception, the strong hold that satan has
on the unbelievers.
Its a giant philosophy from the devil himself that keeps a person from seeing the light,
Its biblical.
Read Ephesians 2:2
Forget all you know and look at the world in a different perspective of a believer.
Then you will understand how limited in thinking the unbeliever really is.
Its truley being free.....
Thats why so many stick with Jesus, and
stand up for Jesus, because there is something to it.

God isn't flaky. You obviously are for not understanding. The only people who say ignorant things like that have never read the Bible, don't know what God did for us, and aren't grateful for the chance to live and have their sins forgiven. I believe in God because I can feel Him and I have experienced miracles that could have happened no other way. God does help us. He helps all of us. When bad things happen it does strengthen us. We know that life isn't going to be perfect, but going through rough things is so much easier with God to talk to and a church to pray with you.

A boy surrenders to his Father and see`s the Father as his hero,he depends for so much on him, now does this seem depressing to you?

Religion is a guide to a happy constructive life, so if I`m pleased, it`s because of the good I do & I don`t have to wait for a pat on the back from the Lord.

Some people are simply superstitious and ignorant and they can’t help it. You know how some people can play musical instruments and others can’t? Well it’s like that. It’s simply a limitation in logical thinking (see the previous question about “brain wiring”). We should not hate them, we should help them, but sometimes a truth-smack is necessary to wake them up.

Well we don't normally believe God is "flaky". If you believe that then I can understand why you would feel that way.

Enjoy life and laugh at those who need myth, superstition and religion to get through their lives.
