the question was were WWii veterans bought back to safe areas after two weeks in battle,the answer is yes,which brings me to the police action in Vietnam,we were out fighting for about 9 months in one year,out for10-14 days,back for a week if you were lucky,then out again,i am not degrading WWii veterans,they are all heroe's,they saved the world,but think about the 58,000 plus Aust andUSA veterans who fought and died,it was not as easy for us as everyone seems to think.i leave you to ponder this matter
