We already tried that, didn't we? They told us that the Earth was flat, and we entered the Dark Ages. 1000 years of ignorance.
Whilst all the great literature of the ancients was being consigned to the flames, St Augustine announced the triumph of fundamentalism, declaring that "Nothing is to be accepted except on the authority of scripture, since greater is that authority than all powers of the human mind"
The ancients had built the pyramids and the Parthenon, but within a few hundred years of Christianity, people in many areas of Europe had forgotten how to make brick houses. In the first century BCE Posidonius had created a beautiful revolving model of the (then known) solar system which faithfully represented the orbits of the planets. By the end of the fourth century CE it was sacrilegious not to believe that God placed the stars in the heavens each night. In the third century BCE, the Alexandrian scholar Eratosthenes had correctly calculated the circumference of the Earth to within a few percent, but by the time of Christianity, it had become heresy to not believe the earth was flat.
Religion has lost ALL its credibility, and you suggest that we ought to give them another go?
Consign all Religion to the dust-bin of history and don't EVER let it out again.

Please don't assume that all Christians don't believe in evolution. Personally, I am both a Christian and a person who believes in evolution. I can also understand how some of the people who don't agree with evolution have concerns about how it is taught in school. I believe that evolution has to be taught in school, but would it really be that harmful to place a little addendum when the teacher first begins discussing evolution? Something along the lines of: "In this class, we will be teaching the theory of evolution. We will cover material on the matter from only the scientific point of view. While some religions may disagree or have different interpretations, this is something to discuss with your parent or spiritual adviser."

Look in any, or for that matter every, text book in any, or every university. You will find absolutely NO theory on how the cell evolved into what it is. You may read about how wonderful the evolution of the cell is, or how one day we will, without a doubt, find the answer to evolution, but you will not in this day and age find any theory whatsoever that talks about how cell came together through natural means.
*There is no credible answer to how the exact sequences of DNA came together to make a human.
*There is no evidence of a missing link- just speculation over a cranium, jaw bone, rib, and femur.
*There is no working theory of how consciousness came from nothing.
*There is no theory to explain the irreducable complexity of the cell.
*A scientist was quoted as saying that all information on the Big Bang is found in the Bible, in the Book of Genesis.
So it looks like Christians are basking in the light of our Intelligent Creator, while atheist evolutionists are still stumbling around in the dark.

Where does your evolution theories come from? in case you are blinded by ignorance you must know that it`s twisted path runs from Humanism thru Modernism and Atheistic communism which Darwin seemed to give a certain respectability to, granted it is having a field day and appears to have the upper hand but just like all the pagan beliefs that the world has enjoyed it too will come and go in it`s time, but God and His creation will still be here.
Evolution is nothing more than satanic revolution and no faithful Christian should be taken in by it`s deviousness.

You're right about the science, it's the ethics I question. Has it occured to you, that any would be tin god could assume the position that many scientists see as vacant? Every scientific breakthrough, has a threat attached. That's why there is a 'Peace Prize'.
Survival of the fittest is one of the oldest theological arguements around, and most Christians will aggree that we all compete. But, natural selection puts nature on a pedestal. That is the definition of a false god.

Don't you know that all major churches in the world teach creation? So what makes the universities right and the churches wrong. Did you know that all major christian schools and colleges and universities teach creation also? There are two opinions and we have just as much right to believe ours as you do yours. So I think you should get off our backs and let us exercise the freedoms that we have. Both creation and evolution are beliefs systems, and evolution is not proven nor can it be anymore than creation can. I say believe what you want and let others believe what they want.

The word "school" can refer to an institution of education, or to a school of thought.
According to the online dictionary, it derives from Greek, schol - leisure employed in learning.
Intelligence derives from intellegere to understand, literally, choose between. This is similar to skill, which means: Oold Norse?, skil - distinction, difference.
Cladistics is the current methodology for describing the growth attributed to evolution (which means unrolling). Cladistics means that growth is represented by binary nodes. It really depends on how you define intelligence. The Bible says that endless genealogies are in opposition to God's work, which is by faith, so if your idea of intelligence lies in understanding the algorithms that allegedly underpin all growth, that is a different kind of intelligence to that which understands love as in 1 Corinthians 13 and yet still is "merciful to those who doubt; snatch[es] others from the fire and save them; to others show[s] mercy, mixed with fear—hating even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh." (Jude 22 and 23).
The difference is noted in 1 Corinthians 1:19. God can: "destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent [he] will frustrate."

Evolution is a theory. There is not one shred of scientific evidence that it is true. Not one DNA sample of any creature half way between monkey and man.
On the other hand there is plenty of evidence to show christianity is true. Tha death, burial, and resurection of the Lord Jesus Christ is just one of many. Then the signs that follow true believers such as healing still take place.

There is no such thing as teaching, it doesn't exist. All a teacher does is manipulate a learning environment. A teacher has no right to brainwash students.
