That would be the same as Bin Laden coming to the US and walking down Main Street. You know there will be someone out to get him.

I doubt he would have the courage to do it, as it would pretty much be akin to suicide.

I would really love for gregory_dittman to cite the law which says the Secret Service has the authority to tell the President of the United States that he CAN'T go somewhere. Maybe I'm just ignorant, but I've never heard of such a thing. I find it hard to believe that a US President can invade a foreign country, but can't go where he wants to because the Secret Service says so.

Bush gets away with a technicality. It's law that the final say goes to the Secret Service while he is president of the U.S. Now after he leaves office, it's possible for Bush to go anywhere he wants. He has been to the Green Zone in Iraq and he has been to a base in Afganistan. He might visit Iraq later.

He'd have to gather up courage to walk the streets of Washington first before he could dream of walking the Iraq Streets! LOL

Iraq is a hostile and uncivilized country caught in a civil war between religious factions killing each other all in the name of "God" ... So to answer your question, I would say "No"....but not because of courage. I think Bush is as courageous as the next person, but he is not stupid and what you state would take a stupid person to do.
