Not directly, but the authorities do permit 'spontaneous anti-Japanese student demonstrations' when they feel like whipping up a little nationalist sentiment. This helps distract the general population from the pollution and safety issues which recur week after week due to poorly enforced regulations thanks to corruption.
It's good that Sino-Japanese relations seem to be improving, but that may not suit everyone.......

WWII was 65 years ago. Most people with intelligence put these behind them and move on. That is what the peace treaties after a war are for. But now some countries do not remember that they were part of a treaty if it is convenient for them to forget. As for revenge, there is no revenge to be had. How many people who had these things done to them are still alive? After the time that has past it is hard to understand if they remember exactly what happened back then, only what the mind wants to remember. Then to if China wanted revenge why should Russia not want it's two cents worth of revenge with China? Or Taiwan want some part of China too? Then the Dutch might want some and the British. If all countries believed in revenge how would China fight the entire world? Revenge is a bad idea from any point you look at it. If you have a problem settle it then and move on. You can not live in the past. A very good example: the US fought Britain in 1776 and 1812 but after this we have been good friends and allies ever since. What nation can China call a good friend and ally? China needs to make friends instead of adversaries, especially in Asia.

No, revenge doesn't help at all. What we want is the Japaneses' apology for neglecting that history and what they have done for hurting the feelings of Chinese people. And it is out time to learn a lesson from the history,in order to make sure that will not happen again and we are really willing to build good relationship with Japan!

China has a different form of revenge, undercutting Japan economically. For instance China plans to sell their high end cars for $8,000.

They have never been in a position to do much militarily. After the war, the US occupied Japan and the Russians occupied much of their Asian Empire near China.

well, everyone has sought repatriations from Japan because of their war crimes, but they refuse to even acknowledge they actually happened. otherwise, the only payback countries have gotten is though economic means, beating Japan in the market.
