Although the Geeta was bestowed thousands of years ago. It was never a book about "the world" but a book about "life" and how man is to navigate through the ocean of life. It is also about the interaction of the soul with the divine. Thus, the geeta will continue to be relevant even in the year 8000.

Bagawat Gita is an eternal song. It is relevant not only to day but it will be relevant to the coming generations also. The truths expressed there by Shri Krishna is Truth for ever. Even in this computer Internet era and in business management courses, Gita is taught to solve the problems faced by the administrators. The main theme is "Do your duty without desiring for results". Do the duty which is ordained to you and never seek others duty. If you are a typist, do typing. If you are a programmer, do programming. At the same time do not desire for the outcome or do not be anxious about the results. Do it just as it is your duty and then forget it. The results are bound to follow. But if you work keeping your mind on results, the work will become flawed. Hence Gita is for entire Humanity for all the time to come.

Geeta is gist of Upanishads which are based upon "truth" or in Sanskrit the term is "rutha" (Please note the resemblance)
"sarvopanishado gavo dogdha Gopalanandanh...."
There are two things 1) reality (sathya) 2) truth(rutha)
Reality is that always changes but the "truth" never changes its face by the influence of time or place.
2+2=4 is the "truth" and it is same everywhere and every time.
So that, the Geeta is relevant everywhere and every time.
I am trying to know the absolute truth which is told in Geeta. I hope I will oneday; and overcome my problems if any.

Geeta is not just about doing Yoga. It is about life and god.
It is relevant in every generation.
As is understand my religion, hinduism. It says that, you can be happy, have pleasures, the way you want without hurting others. However there comes situation in life when you feel that there is no satisfaction, or you feel that you are suppressed ( lack of dharma). There Geeta guides you. Gita does not command you, it does not call you sinner for not doing what it says, it just guides you. Atlast you have to know that you have power to change the world the way you like. This is the aim of gita and hinduism.

Existence is the greatest relevance, if something is incompatible then it would have been vanished, it is all the way travelling with human, the geeta is addressing the fundamentals and method of life, all external exploration may have been changed but thousand of years the humanity and its self has not changed, it is the same which existed in the earliest days of human.personally the bagavath geeta cleansed me so many times.

I know the Gita is considered the most sacred of Hindu scriptures but at this point in my life, The Ramayana is much more relevant and has helped me to overcome some problems.

Man has basically remained the same. He meets with the same issues as in the time of the Gita. Personal choice, courage, having to make hard choices for the greater good: the Gita puts all those things in perspective for me.
It has, and will continue, to inspire me whenever I'm having a rough time. I have honestly not encountered another work which has quite the same effect on me. Just the sentence: "Stand up, Arjuna, and fight!" instills a sense of calm determination in me.

In Bhagavad-gita Lord Krishna explains to His devotee Arjuna basic priniciples of spiritual life. Bhagavad-gita deals with five subjects matters : "...There is īśvara, which means the controller, and there are jīvas, the living entities which are controlled. If a living entity says that he is not controlled but that he is free, then he is insane. The living being is controlled in every respect, at least in his conditioned life. So in the Bhagavad-gītā the subject matter deals with the īśvara, the supreme controller, and the jīvas, the controlled living entities. Prakṛti (material nature) and time (the duration of existence of the whole universe or the manifestation of material nature) and karma (activity) are also discussed. The cosmic manifestation is full of different activities. All living entities are engaged in different activities. From Bhagavad-gītā we must learn what God is, what the living entities are, what prakṛti is, what the cosmic manifestation is, how it is controlled by time, and what the activities of the living entities are." (Bhagavad-gita As It Is, Introduction)
These matters are as relevant as ever, despite the change of culture and times. These are eternal subject matters, as both the Supreme Lord and living entities are eternal, as is their relationship.

If we follow Gita in our day-to-day life we will be less stressed as According to Gita " Do ur duty and remain detached to results of ur karma which is the domain of God" Duty should be selfless deed and u should do ur karma for the right cause and not merely personal benefits. God will decide the reward in due course. Yes it is relevant even today. Attachment brings misery in life.

Depends on what Gita...
There are so many versions and comments....
Gita is meant to make you a devotee of Krishna, the Supreme God,by following a certain way of life[veg-no intoxication-no gambling-no sexual indulgence] and be guided by a bonafide guru.
If the Gita you are reading has not succeeded to turn you into a devotee of the Lord......then it's not a success....
The only Gita that has succeeded to change the world, and unite nations is:
