i am now disabeled and h and r block tax person said i need to change my tax code before i can file my taxes for this year

Either you misunderstood the H & R Block person, or they don't know what they are talking about. There is no such thing as a personal tax code in the US. Some forms received may have codes for specific types of income that have been recorded improperly, but they are NEVER referred to as personal tax codes.

If you are disabled, there are some possibilities as to what the H&R Block person meant a) your disability payments may be excludable, (b) you may be entitled to additional exemptions, c) you may need further documentation from SSI or other agency. Ask the person at H&R Block to be more specific and repost the question. I wish I could be more helpful.
