The biggest right given us is the right to remain silent. Remain silent. I have spent a lifetime telling people to remain silent. Yet people have this need to talk. If a cop asks you a question, just say "I respectfully decline to answer, please let me speak to an attorney". That is a huge right. But nobody ever exercises it because they are too busy telling lawyer jokes. Here's a lawyer joke: If a cop asks you a question, just say no. The majority of cases that are found guilty are based on confessions. Those are people that simply could not keep their mouth shut. You Have The Right To Remain Silent. I'll Repeat It: You Have The Right to Remain Silent. You have the right to rermain silent. Use It. Just shut up. This is a huge right. No matter what they ask you, don't answer. Just say, "I respectfully request the advice of counsel". Let them beat you to a pulp. Those cops love doing that. But as long as you don't OPEN YOUR BIG MOUTH they have no case against you. Get it?

I have read thousands upon thousands of criminal appeals. It amazes me that so many cases hinge on a freakin confession. Don't worry, criminals are stupid, no matter how many times they are told to keep their mouths shut - they will always talk. Isn't crazy?

O.K. I have read State Appelate Opinions, State Supreme Court Opinions, Federal District Court Opinions, Federal Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal Opinons and United States Supreme Court Opinions for Twenty Years Now. The one thing in common is that these stupid criminals always confess. Why Can't They Just Keep Their Mouths Shut???? I love Stupid Criminal Stories, like from Dear Abbey. They are just plain old STUPID. Nothing I will ever say will ever help them. For crying out loud.

I'm a cop and I agree with Pax. People do have a right to remain silent under certain conditions (as others have pointed out, when under arrest, there are questions you have to answer) and I have no desire to take away that right from anyone.

But I have to be concerned about a person who thinks it's a good idea to help criminals stay out of jail for their crimes.

The main issue is, there are approximately 20,000 gun manipulate legislation at the books. The predominant flaw on this, is that they just punish and practice to certified and respectable gun homeowners who've and acquire weapons as a interest, for defense and for establishing talents reminiscent of looking and marksmanship. These legislation do not anything to quit individuals from committing crimes with a gun, or purchasing them illegally. It's simply the ordinary roster of crimes. If anyone needs to kill, they'll uncover some way. If it is not with a gun, it is going to be whatever else used because the weapon.

I'm with ja'aj

Why are you telling guilty people how to stay out of prison?

Why don't you leave that advice laying around your house so the next person to rob you knows what to do.

The sad thing is you have the right to be a idiot!

"You HAVE the right to remain silent, Donkey. What you lack is the capacity." I love that scene in Shrek 2.

Now to your somewhat of a question.
1. Criminals are fools.
2. People who try to coach fools usually wind up making fools of themselves.
Get it?

That goes on hand with you have a right to breathe, you have a right to walk, you have a right to life, you have a right to see, you have a right to think, you have a right to move your body, you have the right to hear, you have the right to imagine, you have the right to fight, you have the right to dream, you have the right to die, you have the right to laugh. on and on and on

But... you also have a 'right' to talk aswell.

Problem is non of those are rights. rights are like uncontrolled guns, going on a public road, voting, making money etc. .

For a S.H.I.T house lawyer, you're pretty dumb, you forgot that some questions you refuse to answer will aid in getting you arrested, like whats your name? address? Date of Birth? etc etc.) Do us ALL a favor and start using your right to shut-up today.

Maybe I'm alone on this one . . . but I actually love it when criminals confess their crimes and are convicted.

Silly me!
