If you only have ten dollars to spend, buy a fitness magazine, it should tell you what kinds of workout you can do at home. Also if you have any money left, buy some resistance bands.

You don't need supplements at all if you just want to lose weight. Losing weight doesn't take monumental efforts. It just takes dedication and persistance. If you work out for 45 minutes every day and don't increase your calorie intake, you'll lose those 20 pounds in about one to two months. Jumping rope is a great idea. If you do sets of 3 minutes with a minute pause in between thats good. I would also do two or three sets of 25 push ups and work your abs as well. When you work your abs, make sure you always do them in this order.
1st work your lower abs
2nd your mid and upper abs
3rd your sides
Good luck. Hang in there and you'll be stoked.

give up sugar, it worked for my X. Don't take aspartame though, you can google the side effects to find out why.
The 'low carb' diet is sound in theory. Carbs = Energy....if your not planning on being active, don't eat a lot of carbs.
As far as excerises go, do push ups. A jump rope is another great start. And finally, just find something heavy around the house. Since when does 20lbs of weight have to come on 'dumbells'? Trying holding a small t.v out away from your body, while lifting it up and down. You'll see why you don't need 'loose weights'. I still recommend push ups.... the proper way too....keep your body straight as a board. PeaCe!

Use your $10 and get a a ticket to a better neightbourhood? See if your city or local church has a gym.
There are three way to lose weight (or at least fat)
1) Eat healthy. Keep off the fast food, anything fried or high in fat content. Consider salads, skinless chicken, lean meat and pork. Have boiled or baked potato rather than fries. Look for the healthy alternatives
2) Muscle burns fat. Lift weights. If you can't afford weights, lift heavly objests. Buckets of water, bricks, phone books even. You can use steps or a couple of phone books for step up/step down to build legs too. Remember to try and work oppose sets of muscles. If you work on your back, work on your abs too, work on your biceps then also do you triceps.
3) Cardio exercise. Yes, walking, running, cycling, racquetball, tennis, anything that gets your hearrate up and makes you sweat.
No matter what you do, drink plenty of water (I didn't say liquid, I said water). Caffinated drinks dehydrate you, that includes coke, coffee, tea, iced tea, etc. Also, carbonated drinks reduce bone density so try and avoid those too, they are usually usually high in sugar anyway.
Good luck on your quest to drop a few pounds.

dont waste money on diet pills.
find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

don't worry about a fitness magazine, there are a lot of stationary exercises you can do. I bet you can tire yourself out just by doing pushups and situps. Add jumping rope and you will cover almost all of the muscles in your body. And eating right is just as important as working out.
