That's a real nice parable. It's not just about two kids, but about our different mindsets. Our senses work in both the ways, rational and irrational. However, since rational part is part of a practical experience and a well diagonised research, we accept it without much resistance. As far as irrational senses are concerned, they are in very close proximity with illusions. But we can sense it. Just because there's no logical explanation for few things do not mean that they don't exist.
Examples of irrational senses:
1> People coming to know about their deaths;
2> 'Nostrodamus' whose predictions have proven to come true;
3> Power of meditation;
4> Paranormal experiences of future warnings;
5> People actually experiencing a blissful environment in crowded temples, mosques, or churches, but the same thing is not experienced in the crowds in a train or in a bus
There could ba lot more of such activities. The bottom line here is, learn to listen to your heart. Just because peices of practical knowledge cannot fit into that puzzle doesn't mean that the puzzle doesa not exist, it just means that it needs to be solved, it needs to be understood, with a different and wider perspective.
All the best...
:-)

Generally the soul becomes completely illusioned immediately after they take birth. Unless the parents are on the path of self realization and only eat prasad and are always chanting the names of God (also known as Krishna, Allah, Jehovah, Vishnu, etc. Then the child will have a great chance of actually being alive. Actually life means spiritual life.. Mostly everyone are walking dead. It is said in the Srimad Bhagavatam that if souls are not engaged in their eteranl constitutional position as consciously serving God, then they are existing but not really living. (the walking dead) that is the conclusion of the Vedic Knowledge. For more info Read Srimad Bhagavatam by BHaktivedanta Prabhupada- tells all.

There is life after birth and equally there is life after death too.
The rebirth cycle goes on till the soul in us realises itself to be Divine and nothing else. It takes zillians of birth this way until it qualifies itself for the final liberation from the unending cycle of births and deaths.

I love it, I also loved the story of the frogs. ~ : ) In the uncreated all is one. Where we are now can seem to be Maya, but Maya known as illusion can also be translated as play. And when Maya is seen for what it is, a living flux grounded in emptiness, Maya is Bodhi or enlightenment. So yes there is life after birth. Thanks. ~ : )

According to the judgment who ever catch the swan it belongs to them . So the swan belongs to the crow. the judgement was mutually agreed up on so there is no dispute in it. In mahabaratha pandavas loose every thing in "judam" though it is deceitful they had to go to arnaya as per the bet. they had to abide by the rules of game. (They fought for justice later) I do not agree with the moral of the story as people get salvation based on their own deeds not any one else's deeds. prahlad's dad got salvation only because prahlad had made that wish, If he would not have asked for that who knows may be he would have been in hell as per his deeds.

THAT IS an AWESOME analogy in two ways (primarily.)
1) It speaks so loudly; yet humbly against abortion.
2) It DECLARES that GOD loves us...thus the continued support whether one believes HIM there or not.
I LOVE THAT, Did you think that up? May I copy it?
God Bless YOU'
