I have worked there as a wedding consultant andI quit a couple of months ago. I could'nt stand the way they treated thier customers and would always treat other brides in the store like princess and just be all over them because they know they are rich, or they are pretty just ridicilous, they forget about other brides if they were big, not so good looking, wanted a cheap dress, or anything they didnt like about them. And they have the most ridiculous policies when it comes to exchanging and refunds. Thier dress are not even that nice, well at least for me. I am getting married next year and I will not be buying my dress there. I can not stand David's Bridal. I know all the loop holes and anything you need to know about them, so if you have any questions feel free to ask.

neutral, I guess. They do have a good sale on. They don't have the greatest quality, but for 99 bucks, who cares?

Their dresses are ok, my daughter looked at prom dresses there, and actually found one for $30--which was WAY cheaper than I could ever make it on my own!! (I'm a seamstress--so I do alot of sewing). I think it's a national, mass market retailer, and like just about every other mass-market retailer, customer service is not what you'd write home about. I've altered several dresses that were bought from David's, they're made decently well (again, nothing to write home about--but you get what you pay for.) One bride had bought one of the $99 gowns, the beads and sequins were GLUED on the dress (a big no-no!). I think there are bargains to be had there though, just don't expect alot of help finding them. I do think they let you go through the racks on your own--which is nice. You will get much better service from a bridal salon--but then you pay for that as well. It's a trade off.

I went in there and I didnt like the service at all. If they dont see money upfront or you with an illusion of spending thousands of dollars they wont treat you right. If you tell them off the bat that you're looking for something "Nice but Inexpensive" they will almost completely ignore you. and come on, why would you want to wear the same gown that the girl in the next church is wearing. I honestly think that the best bet for any bride would be to get her dress custom made. Go to a seamstress. My mom used to make dresses and I dont think she ever charges more than $700 for one. And she made some beautiful dresses.

I think it depends on you. If you are starting to shop for gowns I would suggest trying to go during the week, only go on Saturday if you are making a payment, when the store first opens, or if you have a fitting. This will be my second time getting married and I bought my dress from there the first time, and they were very helpful. I even found out I was expecting after I bought the dress, and they almost remade my dress so I could keep the same dress, and I didn't even look expectant, they did everything even down to the very tiny crystals and believe me it was a bunch of those little things.

I just recently picked out my wedding dress and bridesmaid dress. Neither are from there, but I did go there. If you absolutely must go there, be sure to do the following: Make an appointment and Don't go on the weekend.
I do not care for them. A friend said she liked them, but they pushed on her all the kinds of "accessories" she would need. I am not easily pushed, and don't like a lot of help from sales people in that way. I made my budget known, and explained my wedding was small. The dresses I marked from their site were plain -- so much so that when I stood next to the row of other brided trying on other dresses I felt ugly and undeserving of marriage. I did not feel this way other places and felt like it actually was about me, marriage, and not neccessarily about a knock out dress that overtakes you.
I do not feel they have patience for people who have small weddings. Also, they will make you wear uncomfy undergarments -- and petticoats etc may be all wrong for you. Chances are, they will make you look horrible in the store anyway unless you are a cow.
Go if you must. Try the smaller stores around you too -- they need the business and may even let you come in as you like.

I recently got my wedding dress there and my bridesmaids dresses there. I HATE them! They dresses are very pretty don't get me wrong, but they have some of the worst customer service I have ever seen! They give one girl way to many brides at a time, on my appointment my helper had 4 brides, She would put me in a dress to show my friends and HONESTLY I wouldn't see her for another 20 mintues and then another 10 minutes she would get me into a new dress. Bridesmaids dresses were a joke, my bridesmaids are from all over the place and getting them all in at one time was a challenge, we actually made several trips, I was told they would NOT send in the order until the order was complete. (We were waiting on one Bridesmaid) However, a few weeks later one of my Bridesmaids said she had gone and picked hers up. I had no clue they were ordered and never received a call letting me know they were in. So I call them and they say my 7 days to come get the dresses is almost up, HOW WAS I TO KNOW THEY WERE THERE TO BEGIN WITH!? Then they told me if I didn't have time with MY PERMISSION the girls could pick up there own, well obviously not because they already let one of them take their dress without me knowing. SO finally I get around to get the dresses after waiting about an hour for them to find them in the back 2 were missing 1 still wasn't ordered....A COMPLETE MESS! I am still waiting for the 1 dress to come. Needless to say they told me from day 1 they always want their brides to leave happy, and after 5 times of leaving there I am yet to leave happy. They will not get any recommendations or more sales from me. They talked about us ordering shoes, accessories there......NOT GOING TO HAPPEN! Like I said there dresses are pretty, but you could probably find something very similar somewhere else where your business is appreciated! Hope this gave you some insight! I know wedding planning can be hard and stressful, but I had to clue until dealing with them!

I went to David's Bridal and I didn't like it. The dresses were nothing to write home about, I guess they are ok if you like a plain dress, but they were not fancy enough for me. As far as the service goes, maybe I caught the sales lady on the wrong day, her attitude was horrible...........p.s... I'm not sure where you are, but I went to Eva's bridal and found the most gorgeous gown ever, a Demetrious, check out the website..www.demetriousbridal.com. The gowns are STUNNING.

Went to many bridal salons looking for a wedding dress. On a whim, I walked into a David's Bridal. Found the perfect dress, reasonably priced, good quality. Was very happy with it.

I DO NOT like them and this is why....
When i was shopping for my wedding gown 4 years ago my aunt and i went in there. Not one person offered to help us they just eyeballed us all the way around the store. I am not a fancy person i am a country girl and would not be caught dead in a dress besides my wedding day. About 15 minutes after we got there there were two ladies that came in dressed to the 9's(and even had the new little BMW parked in front of the store) the sales ladies almost broke their necks trying to help them. I was so mad i got my bag and walked out....
I told the sales girl that i hope like hell that she is not working on commission because she just lost a **** load of money by snubbing me when i came in. Wont ever advise anyone to go there and shop!

My opinion of them is they are pushy to sell items and don't stand behind their product - my dd was coerced into buying her gown last year and told specifically that she could return it at anytime - the wedding is this June - we got the gown in July 06 - when we pulled it out of the garment bag which we were told you needed to buy it had MILDEW on the train!! David's Bridal will not do anything for us!! They do not stand behind their products and let their salespeople tell customers anything to make the sale!! We would not of bought the gown last year had we known that it was unreturnable! Now we are stuck with a gown that can't be worn!!
SO BRIDE TO BE - BEWARE OF DAVID'S BRIDAL IS MY MESSAGE - YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED

I bought my wedding dress at David's Bridal 7 years ago. Loved the dress (very simple satin and tulle with no sequins or lace -- that's not my style), hated the customer service, hated the alterations. I had 3 alteration appointments and my dress STILL didn't fit perfectly when I walked down the aisle! It wasn't awful but it wasn't great either.
