I have attended many different services in my life time, and many different religions, but I ask a question about 2 different religions, and I am being told that I am rude, that I hate Catholics, and that I am bashing religion-why is everyone getting so huffy? It was an honest question-I have others about other religions,,,but if it gonna be this big of a deal and everyone is gonna get mad-I guess I won't do the American thing and exercise my freedom of expression or speech,,,,,dang

OK-I guess I didn't word it properly, thank you for bringing that to my attention-you are right-SORRY!!!
but REBEKKAH-I was referring to preachers of the faith,,and I realize it isn't just in that church,,,I had more to follow,,,I wasnt referring to the teachers themselves,,,,,,,it just seems that you hear more about the churches preachers than anything else-I was not trying to offend anyone, I just would like someone to help me understand all of this! I apologize to you for upsetting you-I did not mean to personalize this, and if you feel I singled you out, I was wrong and I am sorry-I am not bashing anyone, as I said, I have many questions about other religions as well,
I just don't understand all the secrecy-it just doesnt set right with ME---you can feel how you chose,,,but I have a right to my thoughts---
and for the Athiest-were I come from -DAGAWN is how we say it and spell it,,,,,,hillbilly-sorry!!

Um... subatomic particles!

"A subatomic particle is a particle smaller than an atom: it may be elementary or composite. Particle physics and nuclear physics concern themselves with the study of these particles, their interactions, and matter made up of them which do not aggregate into atoms."

But yeah, good for you you can exercise freedom of religion and speech an all that. But what I will not tolerate or appreciate is when people write answers as though theirs is the only religion. That offends me. When people ask if America needs to be saved by Jesus, I don't care for that particularly. How about, "Do you believe America needs to be saved by whatever deity you believe in?" Much better.

Oh, and subatomic particles are responsible for the recent downfall of the little-known clown party, representing entertainers across the nation. No, not really, what did you expect?

This is an best query. The reality you requested it is a sign that you do not have compatibility into the bible scriptures at: Matt 24: three-14, describing what the arena shall be like within the final days of the approach that now operates. two Tim three:a million-five describing what individuals shall be like within the final days of the approach that now operates The Religious wars that mark the tip of this approach as we are aware of it is the starting of Armageddon. When you notice the United Nations stand up towards the geared up religions of the arena, that's the starting of the high-quality battle and there shall be just one surviving group, God's group. If you pray and ask for course you're going to get it. Keep your brain open and you're going to respect the reality while you see it, get anchored in it and maintain on. Pete

People are often very set in their ways about religion. That's why many work places recommend to their employees that they NOT discuss religion or politics. Many ppl will get bent out of shape even if your opinion is only a little different from theirs. In America, we have freedom of speech and other ppl I guess have the freedom to say that they are really offended by our opinions even if the opinions are reasonable. My take on God and Jesus is that everyone has to be accountable for their own beliefs and it is the job of everyone to read and understand the Bible (and not just depend on ppl to tell them what the Bible says). A basic tenet is that Jesus died on the cross for us and that salvation is received as a gift -- when we accept him as savior. That tenet is not negotiable imho. The other questions such as should Christians drink beer, should women wear trousers, etc. are subject to individual interpretation. Yeah, there was a time when it was controversial for women to wear trousers. And it wasn't in the 1800s!

i answered your previous question pertaining to catholics, i wasn't particularly offended or anything but i just want to stress something, in the previous question you stressed that you were just asking a question etc, however your questions were loaded with your personal opinion which was very negative towards the catholic faith, you attend other services and intend to ask other faiths questions i am sure without malice, but don't expect others not to be offended when your mere question is marked negatively with your opinion on the matter,it seems in your questions your mind is already made up and thus it doesn't seem your focus is for answers but to "ruffle feathers" which you also pointed out in your last question. no one is trying to silence you so don't act the martyr about freedom of speech and expression.

Does the word "Holy War" ring any bells....
Honestly though the best way I can describe it is because their afraid deep down inside. It's basically been their whole way of life ever since they were born. To be presented with the situation or possibly that everything you've believed in was wrong or a lie would be pretty nerve-racking. The average person would attack the questioner in defense due to the fact that religion is indeed faith based and provides no actual proof to be used as in a defense....

I am not christian and reread your question.
This is what i consider offensive :

1)
"And if the Catholic church is so great-
then why are all their 'teachers of the word' doing such unspeakable acts to children? "

You state here that ALL their teachers etc.
wrong you shouldnt be so unnuanced.

2)
Why do they cover everything up?(exorsciisms, sin-eaters,etc)

WRONG you are generalizing "cover everthing up"

3) Next you continue with this :
Don't you think that if we knew all they had under lock and key,
that we would be able to chose what to believe--
rather than have that right taken?
It's just crooked to me-why omit books of the bible?
Christ intended that for all, or they would not have been written,,
I want to read the book that Mary Magdalene wrote, and
Judas Iscariot-why can't we?
What don't they want us to see, feel, or think,,,better yet-believe?

No feathers are trying to be ruffled here, just an honest question that many share-just didn't have the guts to ask.......
" END QUOTE

Honest question ??? my a$$ !
there is more than just one question , are they retoric ?

if you are serious then you are extremly dumb , i am sorry to tell this.

I answered that last question, too, & your method of phrasing it was damn poor. You may not have meant it that way, but it sure sounded like an attack on my faith & much of my belief system, and so I responded that way. I consider myself open-minded on the issue of faith, and your personal beliefs are of no concern to me in the long run. All I ask from ANYONE is the same courtesy.
Rephrase your questions to sound less hostile & accusatory and we'll be nicer.

When you called me a child abuser, I was very hurt by your accustaion, I have been a Catholic teacher for 30 years and have never touched a child or adult and I do not like being called one

I accept your apology but not all Priests are pedophiles, I have worked with many over the 30 years and not one has done anything wrong, so please don't condemn all Priests
